Interested trade buyers are invited to apply for hosted participation at India Textiles Sourcing Fair in Delhi, 16 – 18 February 2019.
Handloom Export Promotion Council of India has enjoyed a long-standing association with the Australian market, primarily through their engagement with International Sourcing Expo over many years. The HEPC has supported pavilion participation at each edition of this event, showcasing a great variety and the best of Indian handloom producers, each year since the event was launched in 2010.
In 2019 HEPC is planning not only to return to the International Sourcing Expo once again, but is also keen to attract Australian trade buyers to explore buying opportunities directly in India.
HEPC is offering eligible Australian trade buyers the chance to be hosted in India at their trade expo “India Textiles Sourcing Fair” 16 – 18 February, 2019 at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Delhi.
Having organised six successful editions of India International Handwoven Fair in Chennai, India, HEPC will be organising a similar event for the first time in Delhi.
150 manufacturers/exporters from India will exhibit at this event and 120 international buyers will be participating in this event.

If you didn't make it to the seminars on the Modern Slavery Act during the Expo, now's the time to brush up on your obligations!
Job done! I am proud to be the Minister who has successfully taken the Modern Slavery Bill through the Australian Parliament. This Bill is a clear demonstration of what we can achieve when government, parliament, business and civil society work together towards a common goal. It is a momentous day in the global fight against modern slavery!
SAVE THE DATE: Thanks to the thousands of visitors and hundreds of exhibitors who've made International Sourcing Expo 2018 such a success! See you back in Melbourne from November 12 to 14 in 2019!
FROM THE MAKER OF COCO D’AFRIQUE:
An elegant classy timeless handbag collection with some beautiful accessories (and coming more), inspired in France and proudly designed and manufactured in world class leather manufactory in Cape Town, South Africa.
I have spent two years working on this, planning, designing, from the packaging, to the bag after telling a friend from France in 2016 that I would love to develop the most beautiful classy handbag collection with a twist and unique idea!
I wanted to design and produce something which was kind of European inspired, African made – and which is for a woman who knows what she wants and she receives something without any time commitment. Classy, elegant, top quality, professional thought through and also playful and diverse.
Doors are open for the last day of the International Sourcing Expo at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. This is your last chance to discover apparel, textile, accessory and footwear manufacturers and suppliers across the globe in one convenient location. Not to mention seminars on ethical sourcing and sustainability, the modern slavery act and supplier negotiations. Registration is available at the door until 4pm today.

IT entrepreneur turned charity organiser, Giovanni Butera, is bringing the millinery of young and disadvantaged artists from around the world to International Sourcing Expo.
And while the “sculptural works” themselves might be high fashion, Mr Butera has far more lofty aims. He says his charity, GAIA, was established to help the artists “promote social cohesion by exploring their own traditions, assumptions and beliefs within cultures that are not their own”.
Among the works GAIA has brought to International Sourcing Expo to win over the 4000 fashion industry buyers expected to attend the event is a head-turning hat by young Italian milliner Stefano Costabile swathed in a cloud of blue fabric.
GAIA took Stefano to the Fashions on the Field this year as part of an exhibition tour but Mr Butera says one more step is essential to bridge the cultural divide.
“The sculptural items are designed to catch attention but the real cultural exchange comes when Australians incorporate beautifully crafted Italian items into their everyday lives,” he said.
Heritage and culture shines through the homewares, bags and accessories at the Indonesian pavilion.
Denim and twill bottoms of all designs are manufactured to order by Adams Apparels Ltd of Bangladesh.
