⬅️The Ramones outside Berlin‘s Metropol, arriving for sound check on their „Nonstop World Tour“, promoting their latest release „End Of The Century“.

Support band was TEMPO from Berlin. One of their members offered Joey a t**e off his joint, which he kindly rejected.

Note the band‘s tour bus, parked behind a beat up VW Beetle in the Dee Dee photo.

Hey everyone,
due to the overwhelming response to a series of photos we posted over the past few weeks, we decided to turn them into new shirt-designs.

We call this bundle the "First Four". Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee & Tommy each got their own image, including a verse from various songs off the first four albums.

Johnny: "I'm Against It".
Joey: "Shock Treatment"
Dee Dee: "53rd & 3rd"
Tommy: "Blitzkrieg Bop"

Shirts available as singles or by the bundle.
Check out our sweatshirts, too. Available in light grey & light pink!

Free shipping within most EU countries.

Never mind the members of the Ramones, but here‘s two of their longtime co-workers: Jimmy & John Markovich, two brothers from Ohio, who joined the crew in 1978 and were in charge of the Ramones sound: Jimmy as monitor man, John running the FOH.

Here you can see the brothers explore the sights of Paris, November 1990, both wearing the brand new Ramones jean jacket that Arturo Vega had made for each crew member.

Blink and you‘ll miss it.

Rick Johnson was able to capture this one short moment in the Ramones set when the band members took off their leather jackets - after they had finished „Shock Treatment“, right before they went into „Rock‘n‘Roll Highschool“.

In this photo you can see Ramones roadie Warren Cohen assist CJ Ramone to get out of his leather in the blazing California sun, Irvine Meadows, August 4, 1996.

Marky Ramone, who provided the beat while the band changed their stage clothes, at that point had taken his jacket off already - right before „Blitzkrieg Bop“, while Joey said his Hellos to the audience.

Thanks for the pic, Rick! We all would have missed that moment again and again and ag…

Unpublished photo shoot for Rolling Stone, 1979.

The Ramones after recording „End Of The Century“, photographed by Annie Leibovitz.

What could have been two rolls of film, shot for the cover story, was stored away in the bottom drawer of Leibovitz’ archive.

That‘s where you end up when you have a John in the band, but no Yoko.

That‘s all he got. After only one photo session and two shows with the band, Clem Burke‘s time as Elvis Ramone was up.

His career as the drummer for the Ramones ended after a gig in Trenton, New Jersey, August 29, 1987.

A bad day for Clem - but a good one for Marky.
#edit: Apparently, it was a good day for Clem, too.

Joey Ramone, Asbury Park Convention Hall, August 5, 1978.

That night, the RAMONES opened for Patti Smith, who had just released her breakthrough album „Easter“, including the Hit „Because The Night“, initially written by Bruce Springsteen.

When Joey met Bruce after the show, he asked if he could write a song for the RAMONES, too. Springsteen said yes, went home and wrote „Hungry Heart“. But his manager Jon Landau insisted that the song was too good to give away.

When Springsteen released his album „The River“ two years later with „Hungry Heart“ as a first single - peaking at No. 5 in the Billboard Top 100.

It was Springsteen‘s first hit.

A scratched-up piece of New York punk rock history -- Johnny Ramone's guitar -- is up for auction

Let‘s play a game.
What’s your estimate on the final price of Johnny‘s Mosrite Guitar, now auctioned off through RRauction? Whoever gets closest to the final amount wins an original Johnny Ramone guitar pick. Good luck!

BTW: The current bid is at 275.000$

The white paint is scratched off and worn away along the sides of Johnny Ramone's electric guitar, the one he used on stage for nearly 20 years to make some of punk rock's most distinctive chords with the legendary Ramones.

Johnny & Dee Dee.
French-Swiss border, April 28, 1977.

Day three of a six week European Tour with TALKING HEADS, and Johnny hated every minute of it.

Tina Weymouth and Jerry Harrison drove him nuts. Stonehenge? A bunch of rocks. No ice cubes for the Coke and warm milk for the coffee, no phones or showers in the hotel rooms, no power to run the amps and boiled chicken instead of hamburgers.

Complaints, complaints, complaints.

Thank god no European could speak English in those days. 🇪🇺

Yesterday, members of the German Ramones Fan Club gathered at Matthäi-Church in Düsseldorf to say their farewells to longtime friend & brother Jörg Büscher.

Jörg was the guy who was in charge of all things Ramones between 1989 and 1996, and continued to do so even after the band had retired. He was the mastermind behind various „Beat on Cancer“ festivals and the driving force behind „Loudmouth“, his fanzine, published in 1994.

Jörg‘s passion, love and loyalty for the Ramones was overwhelming and contagious. It was his wings under which we could gather, knowing that this was the safest, happiest and loudest place this planet had to offer.

Thank you, Jörg, for all you‘ve done - for us and the Ramones community worldwide.

All good cretins go to heaven. Safe travels, friend. 🖤

Saw a mugshot of David Bowie today. The expression on Bowie‘s face reminded us of how important it was for Johnny to come across as a mean/angry/tough gangster type whenever his photo was taken. Here‘s an example.

This photo might look like it was a mugshot by the ⬅️ Rochester Police Department , but in fact it’s just another aftershow portrait from Johnny Ramone. CBGB, October 1976. 👮‍♀️

25 years ago today, August 6, 1996, the RAMONES played their last ever show at the Palace Theatre on Vine Street in Los Angeles - now known as the Avalon.

The show was supposed to take place at a venue called Billboard Live, but was moved to the Palace in the last second.

For their final concert, the band invited numerous friends to join them on stage: Lars & Tim (RANCID), Ben & Chris (SOUNDGARDEN), Eddie Vedder (PEARL JAM), Dee Dee Ramone & Lemmy Fromyouknöwwho.

The show was unlike any RAMONES show before. And for sure not one of their best. But hey: At least we got a video out of it!

Now we can watch Dee Dee forget the lyrics to „Love Kills“ over and over (and over) again.

Swipe ⬅️ for more pics & setlist from the final RAMONES show and please give a big hand to @warrencoh who was smart enough to bring a camera!

And to quote @theecjramone: RAMONES FOREVER.
