[NEW RELEASE]📣
Beverages is the 3rd installment coming from Metabolism, a South African artist who recently moved to Berlin. While on a 10 year hiatus, he teamed up with D2D who have been pushing for his album to happen. Because it was just too good to leave it unreleased. 🍺

The album Beverages is based on social commentary in South Africa and the journey of Baslik, a character created by Metabolism.
The project gives a unique view into the streets of Cape Town from the thoughts of a creative social party animal. It offers truth and promotes the Boombap sound of Hip-Hop, often overlooked by mainstream media, as today's commercial sound seems so copy-paste and lacklustre.

Metabolism aims to give u the sound that we are all accustomed to, with productions from his partner in crime Saturn. Those who have listened to Metabolism's previous projects along with Writers Block Crew SA will know what to expect from the syllable wordsmith! 🧨

Beverages will be released on July 29th so stay tuned fam. It's going to be a big one!

This is it! We can finally present our 2nd physical release and it's with none other than our west Berlin’s finest Rap Duo @Hang&Otto with their debut LP “Rohkost” (which we premiered last summer.)

We sat together and talked about ways to give this piece the respect and attention it deserves and we’re mad happy with the result. After our release party back in summer 2020, we knew that we unearthed something special from Berlin’s gritty rap scene, with bars by @jotschke that keep u reeling for more and more throughout the whole album. The other half of the duo is @carlhang who’s been cruising around with us at @pankeculture for more than a year with his west coast cuts. A true beat villain at heart who always keeps s**t moving! What’s different about this release is that it features all his dope instrumentals.

It’s only limited to 100 copies so don't wait to spend your bacon -> every preorder of the tape will receive a digital download code of the entire record on bandcamp. Shipping will start on 19th of Feb! If you want to grab a copy just head to their Insta and hit them up with a DM.
