We’ve got another exciting #workshop to share with you! On Sunday morning at our festival, Thore Hildebrandt will teach you how to make pesto from green veggies, chutneys, and start with #fermentation. 🥒🥬

In Germany, 18 million tonnes of food are wasted every year, and a large part of it in our private households. ❗

Thore takes you into the world of preservation as it was in the days of our grandparents. The traditional way of preserving food, without artificial preservatives and at the same time healthy. He will also give you many practical tips on how to use your food creatively at home.

The workshop will give you an introduction to preserving, fermenting and the use of all kinds of vegetables that would otherwise have ended up in the bin.
So look forward to carrot green pesto, surprising fruit and vegetable chutneys and a delicious golden sauerkraut. Of course, bread will also play an important role. 🍞

To attend this workshop, get a citizen ticket for SUNDAY MORNING, a whole day ticket for Sunday or a professional ticket here ➡ https://bit.ly/3xYCUOm

In the UK, it’s estimated that businesses could collectively save £570 million in energy losses. ❗

Businesses don’t only have significant leverage when it comes to reducing global #EnergyUsage, they can also set an example for organisations and individuals through their actions - not to speak of the enormous financial savings they can make in the process! 💰

It is therefore crucial that businesses try to reduce their own #CarbonFootprint and optimise their EnergyConsumption. ⚡

Besides listening to discussion panels on different topics and discovering #sustainable organisations and businesses, visitors will also get a chance to learn some hands-on skills in different workshops on #ZeroWaste and #sustainability. 🌱 One of those will be a “Zero Waste Kitchen” workshop hosted by Monica Kisic of Roots Radicals.

In this #workshop we want to introduce the concept of cooking "circularly", and avoiding unnecessary food waste in this way. 👨‍🍳👩🏽‍🍳 We will smell, taste and talk about different by-products and how we can use them to create innovative recipes at home. Our goal is for you to be amazed by the possibilities that #CircularCooking can bring, and for all of us to be inspired and use this as a means for creativity and for taking perhaps some new steps into a more sustainable living practice. ♻️

To attend this workshop, get a citizen ticket for SATURDAY AFTERNOON or a professional ticket. Can’t decide whether you want to come to the festival in the morning or the afternoon? No problem - we now also offer full day citizen tickets for Saturday and Sunday!

Dear all, I am making almond milk at home but when I put it in my coffee, the little particles gather :).. Any recommendations on how to improve on the texture.. I mainly use it to replace milk in my coffee and for the porridge sometimes.. Thought making it myself is better than getting boxes of it to throw away.. and happy Earth day today!!

Hi there, any suggestion on how I can make good soap for intimate areas? I am currently based in Kathmandu and collaborating with an organization called Apeiron Nepal. When in Berlin I started a volunteered based project for an NGO called Days for Girls, where we made menstrual kits that I will distribute here in Nepal in November. I would like to include in the kits handmade soap that I will make with the women of Apeiron Nepal. Could you please suggest a good type of soap we could make for private areas and some hints of how to make it? Please take into consideration that we need ingredients that are easily gettable in Nepal. Thanks in advance for you help :) ps: if you want to give a contribution to the cause please check this link ------>
