About Al Mareekh - Al Ard:
A journey to Mars and back. OkyDoky & MC Semnov drop a double dose of hip hop science fiction.
Al Mareekh [Mars] and Al Ard [Earth] tell a dream of intergalactic migration.
OkyDoky’s pulsing synths and dredging basslines conjure the cold vastness of the red planet, while jaw-grinding beats and blaring synths signal a return to Earth. MC Semnov rides the flow, weaving together tales of migration and frustration, exile and identity, with dreams of another, better planet that is perpetually out of grasp.
Gritty, dark, and fantastical, this double EP release has been over three years in the making.

Well Gedacht
We are super excited for our next release "Makhazen Bukra" by @asifeh, coming out end of May on 12" vinyl! We will start with the pre-orders on Friday 1st of May and those who order it will be able to DL two tracks from the album immediately! Asifeh's third album "Makhazen Bukra" set to release in May 2020 on Viennese label Well Gedacht is a 10-piece LP including two tracks featuring Palestinian underground rappers bi7kijazz, jvrm, and L'junixr.
"Makhazen Bukra" - meaning "archives/storage spaces of tomorrow" - is a dark yet satirical take on concepts dealing with posthumanism and the fate of earth. The beats on this album - conceived during the past two years - have a certain unforgiving raw, harsh, and dirty sound to them, with no effort of beautification, they
are served as-is. Much like our dark reality, and counter to hypercapitalist culture.
"Makhazen Bukra" was created using abandonded electronics which reflect the
present-day consumer's nostalgia to an illusion of "better times", leading to a modern digital junk yard with thoughts about how and if we may or may not exist in the future to come.
"Makhazen Bukra" is kindly supported by @afac.fund.
