Open Hearts: director's presentation

Catch the film in the documentary section on Friday Sept 11, from 9:30am to 11:30pm, on Xerb.

Open Hearts is an intense “week in the life” of a medical mission with doctors from around the world working together to heal 12 Haitian children through pediatric heart surgery. From logistical coordination, to the symphony of open heart surgery, this film will arrest your senses and challenge what it looks like to lend a hand.

Meet Film Composer Eiko Jin

Eiko Jin is Singer, Composer, Music Editor.
She composed the score for the movie "Watch Over You" and made the cut to the semi finalst in August.
She's got the drive!

Best Documentary Winner, August 2020

– Seven Thousand Souls by Sanjin Miric, Czech Republic

A feature film about the suffering of Serbian and Russian soldiers and interned civilians in Austro-Hungarian camps on the territory of today's Czech Republic, Jindrihovice and Broumov. The camps had about 500 facilities where there were about 60,000 prisoners of war.
Extremely difficult working conditions, no food, no shoes and clothes, winter and infectious diseases, all this affected the fact that 7,100 Serbs did not survive the camps. There is a mausoleum in Jindrihovice where the remains are victims of these camps - 7100 Serbs and 189 Russians. It is the second largest Serbian tomb in the world.

Our Story

2020 is our 6th year. Current call is our #10th call for films.

Previous event June 6 & 7, 2020.

We accepts films from all over the world : we are an international film festival.

We proceeds to a quality selection, with the objective is to mix interactive talent competition with a human scale quality selection. We promote films pushing them on our platform, publishing interviews, sharing on social medias. We do NOT stream your films online. Our winners got winning laurels and an official nominative diploma.

Our 2019 screening took place at the Majestic Bastille, Paris, France.

Our 2018 screening was at the Café de Paris.

Our 2017 screening took place on the Champs-Elysées, at the movie theater Le Balzac.
