SHISEIDO beautiful WASO skin care packaging design by Akira Muraoka was inspired by Japanese aesthetics, and represents the company's efforts to "redefine beauty, empowering Millennials to feel beautiful in their own skin whatever their gender, nationality, age or status".⁣

Millennials prefer to multitask and use skincare products while doing other things. The hole became a signature design, representing the idea of being able to grab the package and go, or attach it to something else. ⁣

The pastel colors and dimensions of the hole are very carefully considered, giving the packaging a unique identity – authentic, simple, but not too simple, with a definite presence of its own.

Fantastic news! Starting this year, Kevin Murphy's bottles will be made from 100% recycled ocean plastics in an effort to create a circular supply chain. In doing so, the company will be the first ever beauty brand to implement this practice, through which it projects to save over 360 tons of new plastic each year.⁣⁣

Last week, we had the pleasure of hearing about the latest merge on the beauty market: Natura & Co recently acquired the key industry player Avon. The reasons why we think this is major news for the industry are that the merger will bring together two market leaders together, making the Natura & Co. group the fourth largest pure-play beauty group in the world and a major driving force of positive change in the global beauty and cosmetics sector.
