Want to break design codes? Then take inspiration from this amazing design from @rosedesignuk for Bletchley Park gin.

Bletchley Park was home to the UK government's codebreaking centre during the second world war and is famously where Alan Turing broke the Enigma code, a key deciding factor in the Allied victory. This bottle for Bletchley Park's craft gin perfectly captures that heritage.

This work from @promptdesign has been blowing up Instagram and we just had to share it too.

4Life Mineral Water by Doi Chaang is spring water from the abundant fertile forest in Thailand where, according to the agency, "we have to respect for habitat and environment".

The agency explains: "The package illustration is to convey how the animals live their lives with the water. The wavy lines and animals explain about the animals living with the water resource. For example the flamingo flying, the tiger swimming and the crocodile crawling in the wavy lines which represent the beauty of water waves.

"These pictures are reminding us that water is the life support of all living things. This is where the brand 4Life Mineral Water comes from."

London agency @strangerandstranger is behind this bold flask-shaped bottle on a nautical theme for Hirsch Bourbon.

It's strictly for the adventurer - the design incorporates a sextant and a horizon line and hides a message for the curious: “No Stone Left Unturned.” It features a wooden-top cork stopper with compass marks and a nautical label coloring. All that is left to do is to enjoy the journey!

It’s international women’s day! Celebrating women’s achievements and increasing visibility, whilst calling out inequality.

Most menstrual products feature overtly feminine tropes like butterflies, flowers or pearls and the colour red is avoided.

Slowly, more and more designers are moving beyond ‘quiet’ packaging and towards a stylish, bright and proud design.

Here’s a few of our favourites:

Once a month by Olivia Chan - A minimalistic approach was used to create a luxurious feel for the packaging. The moon symbols illustrate the heaviness of the flow of the packaging and the “1” on the front represents all women as one big community.

Don’t Hide it. Period. by NH One Design Communications Pvt Ltd – Inspiring, confident, packaging that sparks conversation. Each sanitary pad has a unique message aimed to break taboo and create wider awareness.

Ebb by Idea Dolls London - Their visual expression illustrates the idea of cycles with a clean, two-tone split of crimson red and light blue – a drop of blood connecting the two ‘phases’, much like our menstrual cycle connects the very separate phases of ‘bleeding’ and ‘not bleeding’.

Mooncup by bluemarlin – Mooncup has shifted from a discreet pack to a confident category leader that makes the experience of periods more positive, healthy and eco-friendly.

Various flowing lines and abstract shapes build a common language for beauty and its everyday tools. ⁣

CanO Water was created in response to the damaging effect plastic bottles have on the environment. ⁣
The cans are made from aluminium, an infinitely recyclable material that will never lose its quality.⁣
After recycling, the cans can be back on supermarket shelves within 60 days. ⁣
The clean, minimalist black and white cans reflect the simplicity of water and were designed with a focus on ‘less is more’. The cans stand out above other drinks with the horizontal/vertical font arrangement and use of negative space. ⁣
CanO Water also has a resealable lid, allowing consumers to reuse the bottle or save some water for later. ⁣
