"From the V-shaped cuts made in longleaf pines by former slaves or their descendants, to let loose the flow of sap collected for turpentine - we have marked this land in a way that marks us."

Based on a narrative by Ray Owen, the program features photographers Brady Beck & Frank Hunter, choirmaster Rod Brower & Together-N-Unity, composer & guitarist Ryan Book, actress Abigail Dowd, dancer Diana Turner-Forte, and the Wake & District Public Safety Pipes & Drums. The event is part of the "Palustris Festival," an arts and cultural series slated in Moore County, March 24-27, 2011. PROGRAM D

Celebrate Arbor Day with us on Friday, April 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Campbell House Galleries for the traveling photo exhibit "Every Tree Tells A Story." The exhibit features some of the nation's most significant trees, including our own Bleeding Pines of Weymouth.
