Abita Springs Busker Festival added a button to help you learn more about them.
Busking is the practice of performing in public places for gratuities. The buskers invited to our event are, for the most part, jazz and roots musicians who often perform in clubs and on the streets of New Orleans.

Free Live Music! Each year, we bring six of the best jazz and roots music groups from the French Quarter to Abita Springs Park. There’s lots of singin’ and dancin’, beer and food, and a classic, small-town Louisiana good time in an intimate setting. You can’t beat that!
The festival is brought to you by the Abita Springs Opry with support from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival Foundation. It is hosted by the Abita Springs Trailhead Museum and the Town of Abita Springs. The selection of performers is made by former Mayor Bryan Gowland with advice from the busking community.
Busking is the practice of performing in public places for gratuities. Our event does not offer this opportunity. It is a concert of regular performers from New Orleans who busk and perform around the world.
