Entering 2021, our office has decided that we want this to be the year of gratitude. We have dedicated ourselves to writing 365 thank you cards to friends, employees, staff at AC, loved ones, etc. It is such a simple way to reach out and let someone know that you are thankful for them.

We encourage others to think about being outwardly grateful as we continue to navigate through a pandemic that has left us all feeling a little lost. Be on the lookout - you may be receiving a thank you card from us!

Executive Order 2020-115 (COVID-19) (June 5, 2020)
EXECUTIVE ORDER

No. 2020-115

Temporary restrictions on certain events, gatherings, and businesses

As of 12:01 am on June 10, 2020, individuals and businesses in Regions 6 and 8 are no longer subject to Executive Order 2020-110 and are instead subject to the rules described in this order. (Lenawee County is Region 7 - this order does NOT apply to us)
Rules on Gatherings, Performances, and Events
A social gathering or organized event among persons not part of the same household is permitted, but only to the extent that:
Persons not part of the same household maintain six feet of distance from one another.
If it is indoors, the gathering or event does not exceed 50 people.
If it is outdoors, the gathering or event does not exceed 250 people.
Notwithstanding the restrictions in subsection (a), an arcade, bowling alley, cinema, climbing facility, convention center, performance space, meeting hall, night club, sports arena, theater, or similar venue may, if it is indoors, be open to spectators or patrons, but only to the extent that it:
Enables persons not part of the same household to maintain six feet of distance from one another at all times while in the venue.
Limits the number of people in the venue to 25% of its maximum capacity or to 250, whichever is smaller. For purposes of this order, each separate auditorium or screening room is a separate venue.

Executive Order 2020-110 (COVID-19) (June 1, 2020)
EXECUTIVE ORDER

No. 2020-110

Temporary restrictions on certain events, gatherings, and businesses

Rescission of Executive Orders 2020-69 and 2020-96

Q: What are the guest limits for weddings, receptions, or other social events held at a restaurant/banquet hall?

A: These events are subject to the limitations in sections 5 and 6 of Executive Order 2020-110, if the event takes place in Region 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7. Accordingly, if the event is outdoors and among people not part of the same household, it may not exceed 100 people; if the event is indoors and among people not part of the same household, it may not exceed 10 people. In all cases, people not part of the same household must maintain six feet of distance from one another during the event.

If the event takes place in Region 6 or 8, the event is subject to the limitations of section 7(a) of Executive Order 2020-115. Accordingly, if the event is outdoors and among people not part of the same household, it may not exceed 250 people; if the event is indoors and among people not part of the same household, it may not exceed 50 people. In all cases, people not part of the same household must maintain six feet of distance from one another during the event.

The separate capacity limits applicable to restaurants, food courts, cafes, coffeehouses, bars, taverns, brew pubs, breweries, microbreweries, distilleries, wineries, tasting rooms, special licensees, clubs, and like places do not allow for larger social gatherings or events to take place by reason of the fact that they are held at such venues. A central risk of a large social gathering or event is that the people who have congregated for that gathering or event will interact with one another over a long period of time. That same level of risk is not present among people who happen to be in the same establishment and are seated at different tables.

Share the Warmth of Lenawee

Thank you to everyone that took the time to visit yesterday and learn a little about Share the Warmth.

For those that were unable to attend we thought you may enjoy reading about what Share the Warmth and its volunteers and donors have been able to accomplish in the year since we moved into our year round permanent home.

Thank you all for your generous and continued support of the homeless in Lenawee County.
