These warmer days and blue skies have us ready to break out the hammocks at Myra’s Place. What’s your favorite memory at the old campground? For us it’s either relaxing in the hammocks or fishing in the pond! And this weekend is perfect for both!

If you've got a memory (or photo) to share about the time you have spent at the campground, please share. I'm sure some of our new fans would love to hear some of the old stories from when we were originally in operation.

My maternal grandparents,Bud and Aileen Sherrill from Kannapolis NC,and one of my great aunts and uncles from Salisbury NC,Dub and Rubylee Ritchie, used to go to Hipo's back in late '60s.i think '68.we started out with some big tents, then a Cox yellow pop up camper.the trailer rides with Mr Hipo and Miss Hipo were the treat of the day, fishing in the pond, swinging in the swing,Sunday morning services, etc.i didn't have a photo of the campfires!as a 9-10 yr old, this place was heaven.very find memories!my grandparents and my aunt and uncle have all gone on to heaven, but thank GOD that the Burleson's provided such a place for so many families to enjoy!!hope you enjoy these pictures!
