It is with regret that our facility, the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center, has had multiple cancellations of events due to the risk of COVID-19, or Coronavirus. However, we fully support the County and Event organizers decisions regarding public safety and the prevention of exposure or further spreading of this virus. We take the well-being of our fellow citizens very seriously. As with many businesses and organizations, these cancellations may cause loss of revenue. We sincerely hope that any loss will be short lived, and that we will soon be on the path to recovery, both physically and economically! Thank you all for your support, and check the Agri-Civic Center page for the latest updates on events.

Our Story

Friends of the Agri-Civic Center is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization founded in 2010 and dedicated to acquiring resources for the continued use, improvement and long term maintenance of the Agri-Civic Center in Stanly County, North Carolina. Our goal is to maintain a marketable, usable facility for the residents of Stanly and surrounding counties.

The Agri-Civic Center opened after much anticipation in 1989. Since that time, it has served countless thousands of citizens by housing the Agricultural Offices for the county, and also providing a large performance venue for special events. The facility hosts hundreds of events per year, from departmental meetings and workshops to theatrical productions, concerts, and national dance competitions.

Since their foundation in 2010, the Friends of the Agri-Civic Center have been able to provide many facility updates and improvements. For a complete listing, please visit the facility website at www.stanlyciviccenter.com.

The organization is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors, who work in cooperation with the Agri-Civic Center staff. There current Board members are as follows: Joseph Whitely, Gary Hatley, Kent Lowder, Candice Moffitt, Wes Tucker.
