Impact of COVID-19 on the 2020 Capital Congress

The Capital Congress has been an annual part of the DC community for 15 years. Our attendee experience is and has always been the priority of the Capital Congress. Out of concern for our staff, attendees, and the general public, it is our decision to cancel the the 2020 event.

While the country is taking steps to reopen, we know that it will take time to do this in the safest way possible.

All pass holders to the 2020 Event will have their passes transferred to the 2021 Capital Congress.

Additionally, the Capital Congress will be hosting virtual events, workshops, and other connection opportunities. As of right now, we plan to offer exclusive content for 2021 pass holders the weekend that this year’s congress was to be held, as well as additional programming each month leading up to the 2021 congress. We are working on details and will share those with pass holders.

Rest assured, we will come together again to share our love for Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk, and everything that our community represents! Until that day comes, our goal is to keep our community safe.

We understand that some of our pass holders attendees are experiencing a considerable financial impact, due to the COVID-19 shutdown. If you are in a situation that you would like to have a refund for your pass, please contact us, so that we can process it.

The Hilton Mark Center has notified us that they will cancel the reservations held under the Capital Congress block, under no financial penalty. If your room cancellation has not gone through, please follow up with the hotel directly.
