Tub Trivia is a new live quiz show from Mental Floss. It's like pub trivia ... but in a bathroom with our very own Justin Dodd!
Join us tomorrow LIVE here at 7 pm EST:
We're open from 11am-6pm today, & we're continuing our buy 2, get 1 free deal. Social distance, limiting customers to 9 & to-go packages only are in effect. Stay safe!

We couldn't help but laugh at little at the variety of spellings in the answers to this trivia question from last week. "Thomas Harris’ character Hannibal Lector is based on an amalgam of famous serial killers, including this grubby gentleman from Plainfield, Wisconsin who had mommy issues."
Shout out to 2 Men & A Lady who wrote "Cereal Killers" as the category title.

Smartie Marty’s took top place last Thursday! Staff Infection won most creative team name. Thanks to everyone who came out, including the two new teams. March 26 is our next date. Our sponsors are Steele Street Hops, Ahnapee Brewery, Algoma, Hotel Stebbins, Target, Yardstick Books!

Two weeks until our next game! Missed the first one? Try your hand at a few of our questions. Answers will be revealed in the comments tomorrow.
1. What two cheeses were first created in Wisconsin?
2. Doodles are all the rage. How many breeds of doodles are there in the American Kennel Club?
3, Steven Van Zandt, who played strip club owner Silvio Dante in the Sopranos, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of what New Jersey band?
4. Was Richard Nixon impeached?
5. It might surprise you to know that only Mason Crosby played more games in a kicking or punting role than this Packer who didn’t really kick, but definitely punted. He played from 1954 to 1968 and was one of many Packer kickers from bygone days who actually played another primary position. And he was not a quarterback. Who was he?
6. LOCAL QUESTION: This small creek, snakes through the city and is most noticeable running under Fremont Street between Buchanan and Flora. What is it called?

It's Tuesday Before Trivia!! Read the article below to gain some insightful information that may help your team on a few questions. This detailed account of English settlers in the Algoma area by renowned local historian Virginia Feld Johnson really wets our whistle. All of Virginia's writings on her blog are top notch and fascinating reads. A frequent lecturer at Yardstick Books, we are grateful for her dedication to preserving the history of the area.
By the mid-1850s, a section of present-day Algoma was called “the English settlement.” That settlement within a settlement would hav...

FAQs on Teams for Methunky Trivia
1. Do we have to have 8 people? No, teams can range from 1-8. Got a pal getting off work after 7pm? They are more than welcome to show up any time as long as you don’t max the limit of 8 people. Got someone who has to leave early to put the kids to bed? That’s okay too.
2. Do we have to have the same team each time? No, teams are flexible month to month. Each league date you can even choose a total different team name. We are NOT playing for cumulative points over the whole series.
3. What if I don’t have a team? We will help anyone who comes without a team find a group to join. Or we will make an Island of Misft Toys team 😊
4. Can I play on two teams? No.
5. How do I build a good team? Pick a variety of ages and interests to make the most well rounded team.

Curious how our league will work? Here is an example an answer sheet. 30 questions total but some questions may have multiple answers.

Methunky isn’t just something your drunk uncle says! It’s a bohemian food also known as sauerkraut crisps. Popular in the Algoma area.

Christmas Trivia!
Q: In the movie “A Christmas Story,” what was the name of the next door neighbors whose dogs ate the Christmas turkey?

It sounds like something your uncle might say when he’s had a few too many Old Styles (me thinks...me drinks...me thunk) and it is a local bohemian cultural food dish also known as sauerkraut crisps.
We want people to have a good time, in their hometown, sharing good beers with their friends over a friendly competition of trivia.
Questions will range from TV, movie, sports, literature, Olympics, animals, geography, art, food, pop culture, music and more. Each week a few questions will feature local trivia - but don’t worry for those “washed ashores” in the group - hints will be given. Tune in every Tuesday here on Facebook for the release of an article or website to read that will lend itself handy to answering a few questions.
This limited edition league will be hosted by Sara Krouse and Scott Prokash.
