The Lone Star Cowboy Poetry Gathering is Friday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 in the beautiful mountains of Alpine, Texas on the campus of Sul Ross State University.
Over 40 performers (poets, singers, songwriters, instrumentalists, and more) will perform for two full days. Much of the day is devoted to free listening sessions with 3-4 performers in fairly small rooms. There is no admission fee to the Gathering. The only cost is for the ticketed afternoon and evening shows ($10-$15 in advance; $15-$20 onsite), and the morning Chuckwagon Breakfast ($5).
The Gathering is a Texas non-profit corporation whose mission is to create a place for stories of the cowboy way to be told in poetry and song, by those who live that life.
