Hi ISC fans, I am Stephanie from Iowa. I joined last year because of my career goals in international studies and to meet cool new people (which was a success).

When I am not daydreaming about the next ISC meeting, I am at the gym 💪 or watching scooby doo (see the last picture for proof I am the #1 scooby doo fan)

Hope you all have a good week!! ❤❤

Hello and welcome to the very first ISC Instagram takeover! Once a week we’ll highlight a new member of ISC and what they want to say!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My name is Drew Donohue, and I am blessed to be the first one up. I hail from the distant land of Burr Ridge, Illinois, though I’ve always loved to travel! My favorite place I’ve been to has got to be Israel, as I’m jewish and it was so cool to see the different historical landmarks. Plus I love Mediterranean food, I’ll probably go back just to get some more falafel 🤤. If you ever see me walking around, feel free to say Shalom!
With summer starting up, we would like to introduce the new executive members for 2020-2021. We are excited for our term with many ideas and hopes to make ISC proud!
Stay healthy and we’ll see you in the fall!
03/24/2020
As many of you are aware, all events this spring semester, including our World Soccer Tournament (WST) and International Food Fair (IFF), are cancelled as per Iowa State University's President Wendy Wintersteen's mandate. Due to the development of COVID-19, public safety is of number one importance and all events on campus were cancelled as a result. Our events are no exception.
We understand the disappointment associated with these closures and cancelations. The eagerness generated in the Ames and international communities around these events excited us to create the best experience possible for all of you. We are just as sad and confused as you that our semester ended in such an abrupt manner.
In the abundant time we now have, we hope that you wash your hands often, avoid touching your face and practice social distancing. Unity and social responsibility never seemed so awesome.
Thank you for all your continued support for our organization and attendance at our events. We love celebrating the diversity of Iowa State's campus and hope that you will all join us in the fall at International Week!
Once again, thank you.
WHAT IS BRAZILIAN ZOUK?
Brazilian zouk is a partner dance originating from Brazil. the dance is characterized by the dancers’ undulating bodies and the girls' flowing hair. Depending on the style of Brazilian zouk, you can see a strong connection and long graceful steps, hip movements, body isolations and upper-body torsions, wild spins and whip-like head movements. Sorry guys for doing this.But We need your help as a student and also as a human.I am just giving some information about our protest in Bangladesh.So plz help us. Dozens of students injured in Bangladesh road safety protests Dozens of people have been injured in Bangladesh's capital after student protests over road safety turned violent, marking a major escalation on the seventh day of unrest. Police on Saturday fired rubber bullets on student protesters in Dhaka, AFP news agency reported, citing witnesses and a doctor. They also fired teargas and used batons to disperse hundreds of young people angry over the traffic deaths of two fellow students on Sunday, reports said. Emergency ward doctor Abdus Shabbir told AFP they had treated more than 115 injured students, some of whom had injuries consistent with rubber bullets. "A few of them were in very bad condition," Shabbir said. The Daily Star reported that up to 25 people had been injured in the protests. Police denied they fired rubber bullets or used teargas. "Nothing happened at Jigatala", a spokesman told AFP, referring to the Dhaka neighbourhood where the clashes reportedly took place. TV stations showed footage of protesters throwing stones at police. Protesters were reportedly also attacked by alleged pro-government activists. --------Info From ALJAZEERA.. Please Help us to get JUSTICE!! Thank you very much.I think you'll help us. REPLACEMENT OF ELECTRICITY It is difficult but sounds interesting when replacement of electricity is talked about. One practical example is of the moon which reflects the light on the earth. It is mild, beautiful and pleasant. The full moon delight is a wonder of the nature. There are known and unknown scientific factors behind this phenomenon. However, the moon alone takes charge of providing light in the night, though variance exists. Necessity is the mother of the in invention. At present through electricity generation, light requirement besides others is presented. Electricity generation has limitations and therefore its paucity is observed. The current electricity production requires heavy infra-structure and therefore cost is prohibitive for the consumer in general and domestic operations in particular. The moon does not have its own light but it reflects the light derived from the sun in the most efficient manner. Apart from its known reflection capacity, the moon surface must possess such ingredients to carry out light reflection which is not only pleasant but capable of reaching far off places like the earth. It would be a nice introduction to understand and explore the moon surface reflection capacity levels and also catch hold of powerful mass elements, which may be suitably form part of satellites governed by remote control to move on as desired, irrespective of the earth rotation. By remote method at least in nights, street lights all over the world will not need electricity. This will be a great saving on electricity consumption. Further, reflection capacity elements from the moon can be studied and chips as in mobiles can be manufactured and used for domestic purpose. These can be recharged with the minimum exposure to sunlight. A step further the reflection of light from chips may be also be used for recharge with a suitable device. In brief the need is to invent from the moon surface, reflection capacity mass and also add up with surrounding wave carriers containing reflection mass at micro positions. Besides satellites to reflect light on the earth, charged chips containing reflection capacity of light can be widely applied for domestic needs. We are successful in reaching out to the moon and this advantage is beneficial. Again certain area of houses can be coated with reflection capacity elements placed with chips to store and produce light when needed. All is about to study reflection capacity mass and use it in different ways to benefit the human beings. Nature produces wonders with its tremendous resources. But our discoveries have short comings and therefore needs are met with huge investments to place required infra-structure. All this cost structure is ultimately pushed upon the consumer shoulders which become expensive. Here again there is a big gap between demand and supply. Reflection of light is the need of the hour. Once this is achieved even partially, electricity can be replaced with the minimum cost, infrastructure and labour. Similarly study of other objects can be on to locate mass capacity including waves of even minute mass contents to produce rains, control natural disasters and extreme seasons and create comfort zones. Page 2 With the enormous number of stars and objects in the universal space, capacities of any requirement can be found for application to improve the quality of life on the earth by which even the poorest can live with maximum comfort by spending very little and sometimes nil. Such a wonderful sight can be cited when we look at the perfect harmony and infinite power the universe holds. This infinite establishment carries calculated systems and operations and therefore the results can be obtained for welfare and also to control disasters. To understand reflection- capacities of the nature is the prime requirement and the main code for the world in which we live on. H V Navangul Age 81
