Scout STEM Camporall

Scout STEM Camporall Join hundreds of Scouts from throughout Western New York and beyond at the first Camporall in seven years! Scouts will participate in STEM activities in the labs and outside at the University at Buffalo north campus.

GNFC 2017 S.T.E.M. Camporall Science, Technology, Engineering & Math JUNE 9-11, 2017 University at Buffalo north campus The Greater Niagara Frontier Council, Boy Scouts of America in conjunction with the University at Buffalo School of Engineering & Applied Sciences is hosting a Camporall on June 9-11, 2017. We have a STEM program designed for all Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Explorers and Venturers. Camporall STEM program themes: 1. To the Sky and Beyond (space) 2. Keep in Clean (water) 3. Going Places (mobility) 4. Sustainable Human (healthcare) 5. Make It Green (sustainable design) 6. Light Up the World (power/energy) 7. The Internet of Things (connectivity) 8. Building Blocks (materials) 9. Talk to Me (communications) There will be age-appropriate activities for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers and Explorers. Scouts will spend part of the day in and outside of the labs conducting hands-on, fun STEM experiments with UB staff and the other part of the day staying busy on the Midway. Finish off the weekend with an exciting closing show!


Patches for adults who didn't receive them at the event have been placed in the URR files at the council service center.

Visit the Camporall trading post from 6-8pm on Friday and 9-5pm on Saturday. Drinks, snacks, t-shirts, fidget spinners. glow sticks, and more!

Take a moment at the Camporall to visit the UB Bull outside of the Student Union. Rumor has it that he might be ready for a makeover.

Camporall Registration

Online registration closes Thursday morning. Please get in any last minute payments ASAP. While we don't plan to turn anyone away who tries to register at the event, we'd like to keep it to an absolute minimum.

A Camporall is for ALL Scouts—Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venture & Explorer Scouts, and Girl Scouts! Camp for the weekend or come out for the day on Saturday and join hundreds of Scouts and leaders from throughout Western New York and beyond.

UB students are working on a project with NASA to launch nanosatellites into space beginning next year. Scouts will get to meet them at the Camporall and learn all about the program at the closing show.

We are a group of undergraduate and graduate students that work with the Air Force Research Lab, NASA, and Moog, Inc. to build satellites from concept to launch.
