The Annual Korus Festival is held sometime in September-October. The Korean American Association of the Washington Metropolitan Area (KAAW) is the oldest umbrella association protecting the rights and representing the interests of 250,000 Korean-Americans in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Mission: KAAW advocates the rights of the Korean-Americans and promote the well-being and prosperity of the Korean-American community. We conduct activities to promote unity and fellowship, community participation, provide educational and social programs to the Korean-American community, and share our culture to play a part in the diverse community of our region.

We, together, set aside language barrier, generation gap, and cultural difference to become one, united with common objective to showcase Korean heritage, arts and culture during KORUS Festival. Thank you to all those sacrificed their weekends, worked long hours, and gave up so much during the last year to pull off yet another successful festival. Congratulations to all!!!
