“Daniel Marino of Hey Leroy picked up the bass at the ripened age of 14.

After persuading his parents that a bass wouldn’t be another hobby to fizzle out, Dan kept his word and shocked the everyone with his tremendous musical abilities.

Fast forward several years later and Marino has created two bands; The Ocean Heirs, and Hey Leroy!

Performing at venues such as The Stone Pony, The Saint, and Starland Ballroom, there’s no stopping this multitalented musician who can masterfully play various instruments and bring you to the front of the crowd with his clever lyrics.

Today, Dan continues to keep his dream alive by streaming his musical journey on multiple platforms(Spotify, apple, etc). Since Hey Leroy was established they have released two EPs, with much more to come.

*GRATITUDE POST* We've officially been open for just 2 months, and we are overwhelmed by the community involvement and talent that has helped get The Ghost off the ground!

We couldn't be more grateful.

Thank you to all who have so far performed, podcasted, painted, participated in writing games, submitted your artwork, curated, brainstormed, spread the word and the love, interviewed, listened, livestreamed, followed, shared, and helped in myriad other ways!

This has been beautiful and challenging work during this time and we are so, so thankful that you have helped bring this vision to life. We will continue to build our programming and we have some exciting exhibits and performances coming up.

“Find the courage to speak your truth.” New Jersey singer-songwriter Jackie June channels this guiding principle into her 2019 debut EP Wildflower. Truth has remained a challenging force for the songstress, having spent most of her life suppressing her undying passion for music.
Now, secure in her footing and firm in her voice, June shares her story of apprehension with the world, instructing those both young and old that it's never too late to leap forward into your truth.
Wildflower finds kinship with the sonically delicate and lyrically poignant pop discographies of artists from Michelle Branch and Rachel Platten to Lady Gaga and Adele. And, more personally, June's infectious refrains and whimsical instrumentation harken back to the 90s airwaves that inspired her youth.
Since the release of her debut EP, Jackie has gone on to open for 80s pop icon Tiffany, play @sofarsounds , release three music videos, and tour the East Coast. "Can't Quit You", June's latest single, is currently available across all streaming platforms.

Join #GhostHarborCreative founder Caroline Davidson on Thursday, 10/29 for a fun session of #Surrealist parlor #games, including Exquisite Corpse:

Created by French surrealists in 1925, #ExquisiteCorpse is a composition method in which each participant takes turns #writing or #drawing on a sheet of paper, folding it to conceal their contribution, and then passing it to the next collaborator to contribute.

The resulting, often bizarre creature is the “Exquisite Corpse.”
This game will unlock your creative energy through the #Surrealist tenets of free #play, unpredictability, and collaboration.

#Masks required. #Sanitizer provided. Caroline will facilitate the paper passing with gloved hands.

Space is extremely limited. - 8 people MAX.

#Monmouth County multidisciplinary #artists are called to submit entries for consideration in the “Looking Ahead” Juried Exhibition.

The show is being curated by Jordan Grace Robinson and hosted by Caroline Davidson, the founder of a #nonprofit new #multidisciplinary space called #GhostHarborCreative, located at 714 Bangs Ave. in #AsburyPark.

The exhibition is inspired by “moments of joy, hope, laughter and life when the sweet moment comes where we can safely reunite with family and friends.” Work should focus on what the artist looks forward to after the pandemic.

All ages are welcome to submit. One #entry is permitted per artist, and entries are free. The #submission period runs through Sunday, Nov. 1.

Types of work accepted are as follows: two-dimensional, three-dimensional, video performance of spoken word, poetry readings, singing, dance and other works presented on video.

Those wishing to #submit a piece may email the entry to [email protected].
