Uwharrie Outdoor Events was started by the one and only Scott Fields. Scott was excellent at what he did everyday. Unfortunately, Scott lost his battle to cancer. That led to Chris Cagle and Mike and Sarah Morrison taking over the business. Scott Fields dream and legacy will live on!!! Chris runs the Eldorado Outpost, which is across the street from the Events Center. Chris' commitment to the Uwharries and getting people outdoors is unparalleled. Mike and Sarah enjoy being outdoors with their two boys and dogs at any chance they are given! Mike is an excellent trainer and has an abundant amount of knowledge when it comes to outdoor activities! Together Mike and Sarah are a pair that believes in going after their dreams and the potential for anyone to achieve their goals. Our mission is for each individual we come in contact with to experience the great outdoors to its potential. If you want to hold an event we have several different locations you can rent for the day, weekend, or week. We also have a private trail system you can rent and take a group out for the day or weekend for some trail rides. We are a growing company with fresh ideas and plans coming your way soon. If you have any questions please reach out to us and we will answer them as quickly as possible.

This truck is an awesome build thanks to Asheville Vehicle Outfitters ! We spent three days of private training getting the owner ready to live off-grid in this truck!
This inferno Tacoma is 🔥🔥🔥! This beast is in full time off grid mode thanks to a new Alu-Cab Canopy Camper equipped with a new Dickinson Fire place, Alu-cab water tank w/ onboard pump, 252W sunflare solar panels, Goose Gear electrical panels w/ 12V outlet bank from off grid engineering and GP Factor rear molle panels and drop down table. On the truck side of things, we added an OME suspension system, ARB summit bar w/ Warn Zeon 10S, BD LP6 driving lights, ARB UVP system, Slee Sliders and a OGE Redarc dual battery system to handle our onboard power management. Inside, we added a Goose gear seat delete w/ fridge, Expedition essentials USB powered mount, Garmin Overlander and a Spod Bantam X w/ touchscreen. Next on the list, this beast is headed to the mountains for some wheeling and camping 🏕!

Tonight is our next Off-Road Essentials with Mike!! If you are in the Asheville area come on out!
A 2 hr class will be held at Asheville Vehicle Outfitters shop on Wednesday night from 7 pm- 9 pm. The address for the shop is : 5 Rutledge Circle, Fletcher NC 28732 Come learn about the different forms of traction control your vehicle has to offer and how to use them. Price is $25.00 per person. A student from our class this past weekend says:
I did the winch class offered by them. What I learned in the first 20 minuets paid for the entire class! Mike was an amazing teacher and had the perfect balance of classroom and hands on training. A lot of people buy the equipment for looks but have no clue how to use it. After this class I feel confident in my ability to rescue people and not destroy my rig! I can am so excited to learn new things from Mike! Thanks guys!!!!! Adrienne

Special thanks to Sara and Michael with the Ladies Ride and training at the 34th Dixie Run held at Windrock Park with Southern Four Wheel Drive Association Page - SFWDA.org, Morrison's Outdoor Adventures and Asheville Vehicle Outfitters I learned so much on the ride from two step driving in a manual to Fail backing down a hill, to starting my jeep without the clutch on a hill. AMAZING opportunity and experience.

I recently took my family to Big Creek
Iv been wheeling for about 25yrs on and off, Iv had well built rigs and fairly stock 4wds, mostly jeeps but a few other lcs and discos, this was a GREAT EXPERIENCE, and yes I learned quite a few things about my 4wds and how to operate them in various situations.
The staff was extremely knowledgable and helpful. So my takeaway was this... weather you are a seasoned wheeler with yrs behind the wheel or just got your 1st 4wd and would like some guidence into the sport...go give it a try... thank you guys for your team and sharing your trail techniques and responabilities to all.
Had a great time at Big Creek Rocks yesterday. Mike, Sarah, Izzy and Chris were awesome. Had fun and learned a lot on the beautiful trails.
