Featured Registration All hail The Emperor! - We are really excited to give a big Texas-sized welcome to Barris Kustom heading to the Lonestar Round Up for the very first time and they are bringing the America’s Most Beautiful Roadster winner of 1960 and famous show rod The Emperor to Austin!

This 1929 Ford roadster was built originally by George Barris for Charles Kirkorian of Fresno and previously owned by legend Blackie Gejian - the car is now part of the Barris family again and returned home after 60 years! Kirkorian engineered and constructed the engine and undercarriage. He then contacted Barris who designed and built the complete body and painted it with forty coats of translucent Kandy Burgundy over pure pearl of essence imported from Sweden with added actual crushed diamond dust. The complete frame and undercarriage is chrome plated plus all the accessories on the 550 horse powered Cadillac Eldorado engine. It features a hand-formed grille, deck lid, and rear pan to fit the taillights. We couldn’t be more excited to see this historic beauty here in Texas, and thanks to Team Barris for bringing it out!

Later on the same year, it was also nominated as one of 28 "Top Customs of the Year" in Motor Life July 1958. It continued to evolve and change appearing in magazines in the late 50s and early 60s. One of our favorite parts of the Lonestar Round Up is the giant swap meet held inside the big covered rodeo arena in the middle of the show. Ever come to the lone Star Roundup and break down? You probably saw Ronnie, or somebody like him I know times are tough for everybody right now but if you could lend a hand to an amazing mechanic I would appreciate it!
So I know the show was canceled for this year but I’m sure some people had hotels reserved and had plans to come to Austin. Well just because the show is canceled does that mean we can’t cruise Congress?? I looked forward to the show every year but especially the cruise down Congress. I love my city and love to hear those exhausts rumbling up and down Congress. I’ve been working on my 51 to cruise it for the show and I’m still down to cruise if anyone else wants to!?
Bummed,,,,,last tonight I should’ve been getting prepared to be bushed out from at least three big preparties to kick off the big Lonestar Roundup. Should have been setting the alarm for an early morning start for a day full of parties before heading to head to the big show and two days and night of awesomeness ,,,the weather is going to be good. The car is all cleaned and detailed,,,but,,,,nooooo🦠 Hopefully when September gets here the show will be just as good as it would have been
Well the Austin Rodeo just canceled first time In 20 years...............
Any coronavirus worries? I just saw the Houston Rodeo canceled?
Will the show be canceled due to the new City council 2500 limit on gatherings. I hope not
Will the show still go on since Austin has banned large gatherings till May 1st?
What's the status of the event now that Austin has decided to prohibit events over 2500 people?
Bring in Von Hotrod!
Newbee! Please be kind/or not (its America)....Just wondering if you can help out a brotha...Where would be a good place to start looking for a close by rental to stay from Thursday to Sunday by the event? Gracias!!! We have two rides coming out.
Saw this caddy at last years show, does anybody know who owns it? Thanks
How long until the bands are announced?
