AACHI's primary interest is in the health and welfare of our community. We will continue to monitor this unfortunate situation, and look forward to announcing a new date in the future. That's a wrap! The 2019 Far East Fest held this past Saturday was a tremendous success, especially considering the weather. However, with a festival of this magnitude, it doesn't go without its share of hiccups. Here are a few Pros and Cons we've heard during and after the festival. We ask you to chime in and let us know what you loved and hated about the event. This will allow us to continue to improve and make this event better, for YOU!

PROS we've heard:
- Most restaurants were quick with their service.
- Selection of food & variety
- Dancers & musicians were entertaining
- Noodle Eating Contest

CONS we've heard:
- VIP "experience" not worth the $
- Swag Bag not interesting enough
- Some lines were very long (the most popular lines)
- Parking
- Weather

We're two days removed from the Festival and are finalizing all the details. Overall, the inaugural event of the Far East Fest was a definite success, but not without its share of hiccups, poor logistics, lack of management, and understaffing. We are working hard to making this festival "Austin's festival," so we would appreciate your constructive feedback, to make it much better next year. Below is a list of areas we will be improving on. Please feel free to share with us your personal feedback and suggestions. We'd also love to hear the parts you loved!

(please note: rude and offensive feedback will be deleted, so if you have feedback to give, make it constructive, please)

THINGS YOU LOVED:
- The food and restaurant partners were a huge success
- General traffic control was good
- Lines weren't terrible considering the size of the festival
- Noodle contest was fun, but too far away.
- Cocktails were tasty
- Sapporo's live art wall
- The Spurs basketball activation

THINGS YOU HATED:
- Prepurchased tickets should not have to wait in line for a wristband... or should have a dedicated line to expeditiously receive wristbands.
- The $2 tickets were a major bottleneck, and our communication around the bars need to be better (we agree)
- VIP bar was too small (will be bigger next year)
- Offer seating/tables & SHADE for General Admission area, as well.
- More bars. More non-alcoholic options. WATER
- The DJ and entertainment area was too far away from the food area.
- Some vendors ran out of food.
- We needed recycling bins, and we 100% agree was missed and will be there next year.
- We reserved 1,200 parking spots for attendees, but we needed more volunteers to guide people to open spots. (agree)
