goddammit somehow I missed the shift to wednesdays. F**k.
I did the Manda TT course this morning. Anyone going out there beware of the dog gauntlet you have to go through on Manda Carlson road about a mile into the course. Fun times!
Hey!!!!!! Let the Holland fun begin!!!!!!
The best, most affordable, entertaining, physical, fastest and colorful experience in Central Texas (maybe the world). This get-together brings cycling fans, friends, veterans and rookies together to enjoy a few hours of sweaty, speedy and ‘surly’ shenanigans. So place this event on your calendar March thru October for a bodacious bicycling good time.
The village which supports the crazy Driveway Life was equipped with its very own juggler for Week 12. We all know Bradley L. Houston is a man of many talents. What other skills has he been suppressing?

To the Driveway / Fellow CAT 4/5’s, First and foremost, thank you! Driveway - after all the years of watching my eldest (Alan Barrows) move through the ranks and off to MSU as a cyclist, it has been an absolute pleasure being able to take videos and pictures while developing a relationship with my son. With my youngest starting out and part of the mentoring program, we are at it again and look forward to the next 6 years... Special thank you to Billy Flores for your dedication and passion for developing our youth with the fundamentals. Greatly, appreciated. Now, CAT 4/5’s, yes, my little guy is out there with you, so thank you for your patience as he learns what this cycling world is all about. One day in the future, I hope to see him in your group. Added thank you as well from myself as I have finally said I will start riding in these crits, I promise you I will attempt to stay out of your way to the best of my ability until I am ready to join in (but not today - 20mph vs 28mph). I had a lot of fun today especially when the gentlemen with two laps to go said jump on and taught me a lesson of drafting. Seriously, you don’t have to work as hard 😎. Thank you! I look forward to one day being in the mix. Lots of thank you’s I know, but just wanted to show my appreciation to the cycling community.
360 Video of the P123 on opening night. 😍
Attn: Northside Commuters! Per the 183-South Construction Project Manager, the access from 51st Street to the East-side YMCA is not open and not expected to open until summer (July/August). He suggested crossing 183 at Springdale/Manor and using the multi-use path on the east side of 183 which runs all the way down to MLK/969. The bridge at MLK/969 has added bike lanes now. Crossing there and using the path up to the YMCA is another option. If anyone has scouted it out and can share their insights, please do. See everyone on Thursday. Be safe!
Thinking about coming out for the race but haven't raced crit in over 10 yrs. What's the avg. pace for the cat 4/5 and the Masters division(s)?
