The GAHSMTAs are this TUESDAY!!!!

Make sure you have paid your $5!! (if you haven't SHAME ON YOU)

Here is the info that you need to know:

The event itself begins at 7:30pm. You should arrive 6pm for the red carpet event, remember there is HEAVY rush hour traffic so plan accordingly. There is a parking garage at the Long Center and it costs at least $8. The event is scheduled to end at 10:30pm plan for it lasting longer.

Can't wait to see everyone there supporting our nominees, Victoria Brown (Leading Actress) & Brian and Ben (Featured Performer).

As well as our performers, Emily Adams (Finale Member) and Martha Ruby Clark (Select Ensemble Member) #GAHSMTA #HSMTA15 #VHSTMM

Officer Elections are coming up very soon! Here is an updated list of the positions and their duties:

President- Runs meetings, Delegates responsibilities, and sets the agenda. (NEW: You must have been a thespian for 1 year prior to running for this position!)

Vice President- Assists President, Oversees Thespian society. (NEW: You must have been a thespian for 1 year prior to running for this position!)

Secretary- Keeps minutes, takes attendance, handles communication and public relations.

Treasurer- Finances, fundraising, and keeping stock of department supplies.

Press Secretary/ Trip Advisor- In charge of ALL social media and advertising. Social Media Liaison for the GAHSMTAs. Advises and assists Mrs. Guckian with trip planning.

Historian- Keeps records, makes slideshow for banquet, assists Press secretary by taking photos of events and productions.

There are a few additional steps in the election process this year
1. Fill out the google form- this will give us info about you and what positions you wish to run for.
2. Interview with Mrs. Guckian and the senior officers (April 20, 21, & 22)- after which the ballot will be released and we will know who is running for what
3. 1 minute speeches (April 30 & May1)- Speeches will happen during PIT. They will be filmed and posted for viewing if you are unable to be present during those PITs

Voting will open after PIT on the 30th and remain open until 4:30 on May 1. You will receive an official ballot for Mrs. Guckian and turn in that ballot Mrs. Guckian to vote.

Participating schools are seated in advance of the public onsale. eyeGO to the ArtsTM is a program dedicated to making the arts accessible to high school students through $5 student tickets.

Family members will not be seated with participants. Those tickets go on sale on March 27 at 10am!

Dress is cocktail attire but some girls will be wearing full length gowns so don't feel limited!! Several of our Drama Club members will be performing on the Long Center stage during this magical night! Please come out and support your friends and take part in an unforgettable experience!
