We're baaaaaaaaack! (We missed you!)

Voiceover Basics - Zoom Class!

We've figured out some great new approaches to be able to put this awesome class ONLINE! Our first two classes sold out
before we could even post them here, so here's your chance... with two new sections:

Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm, or Sunday afternoons at 4:30, for six weeks.

You've always wanted to see what voiceover is all about.... how about checking it out NOW? Here's the place to get started!

This is a shorter version of our semester-long voiceover class.... (six classes). We cover the basic techniques for voiceover, plus provide a great overview for several other techniques for film, radio, and television. Material includes commercials, narrative voiceover, basics of character voice, and more! This class is a great intro to voiceover basics for beginners, plus a great technical skills building class for more experienced students. Ages 16 and up.

Class size is limited! At the end of the course, students
have the option of recording their voiceover demo using both class materials and new material selected specifically
for them (adds two one-on-one sessions).

Cost of the class is $250.

We also have a demo reel option ($375 for class + basic demo)

We have only a couple of openings in each section. The class will begin the last week of August... register quick! These are already filling up by word of mouth!

Hello, E Amigos!

For reasons you can probably guess we will be temporarily suspending our classes. Liz is still available for Skype Coaching, and Rafael will still be handling taped auditions. Rich McDonald's classes may be continuing at his discretion.

Please look for some new options coming, though! We are working through ways to offer Voiceover Basics, Character Voice, and Screenwriting online! Please message us at [email protected] if you are interested!

And who knows? We may emerge stronger than ever before!

Be safe out there!

Film Acting Basics – begins July 1st!

Just starting out, or just starting to take this whole “acting thing” seriously? This is the class for you! Film Acting Basics is targeted towards actors who are looking for a solid base from which to launch their careers.

This eight week class is a fun combination of introductory techniques, auditioning skills, exercises, and entertainment business info to start you off in the right direction!

Week One/Two: Monologues/Character Study Basics
Creating a character from the ground up…. Convincingly!

Week Three/Four: Scene Study Basics
How do you break down a script? What are you looking for, and what is the goal?

Week Five: Expectations of the actor
Training is important, but how, where and why you train is also a consideration! What techniques would work for you? Maybe you’re looking for Meisner, or there should be some Method in your madness. Will improv be an improvement? And what exactly is the etiquette and protocol? What about headshots, demo reels and resumes? Help! There’s just so much to KNOW!

Week Six/Seven: Auditioning
What types of auditions might you encounter, and where do you find them? We’ll play with cold reads, basic audition techniques, and even tips on self-taping!

Week Eight: The Biz
We’ll cover the basics of how the industry works, who does what, and where actors fit into the Big Picture (both literally and figuratively)!

Class is held on Monday Nights from 7:30pm – 9:30pm

Acting Basics is taught by Liz Reeder Neubauer, a 40 year veteran of the business, trained in New York (La Mama, Neighborhood Playhouse, Actors Institute) and Los Angeles (Beverly Hills Playhouse, Actors Studio). As a director, producer and writer, her work has been seen on (among other places) NBC, ABC, PBS, Comedy Central, and screened at festivals including SXSW, Tribeca and Cannes. Bang Bang - Spring Song Night 2019

Another fun one from Song Night... tough to get good footage when three of your cameramen are on stage! LOL! Doesn't matter, though.... Brenna, Cassie and Shema pretty much killed it! And is that Teresa DANCING? I thought so!

One of my favorite performances from one of my favorite people! Go Basil, go!

Big audition coming up? Self-taping at home, but not 100% sure you've got it right?

One of Austin's best kept secrets is that Liz Reeder Neubauer (Studio E) does quick coaching sessions by Skype or Facetime! And it's as easy as 1-2-3!

1. Text, email or call Liz to set up a time.
2. Email your sides so we can take a good look at it! We want to be as prepared as possible, too!
3. Connect by Skype or facetime and let's wring it out!
4. Pay by Paypal or Venmo!

Wait. That's four. Okay, easy as 1-2-3-4.

Oh! And then go nail your audition!

So... easy as 1-2-3-4-5!

It's like having a private coach that makes housecalls, right?

Sessions are $15 for an intense quick coaching (15 minutes), and then $15/15 minutes after that.

Hours odd? GOOD! We're even better at odd hours!

Get it right... get the gig!
