Netherworld Explained: The Ankh
The Ankh is also known as key of life, the key of the Nile or crux ansata (Latin meaning "cross with a handle"), was the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic character that read "eternal life". Egyptian gods are often portrayed carrying it by its loop, or bearing one in each hand, arms crossed over their chest.
Many of King Tut’s artifacts have the ankh symbol, see if you can spot it in the artifacts. 🔦👀 https://bit.ly/2L9Dalb
Netherworld Explained: Eye of Horus
Netherworld Explained: In the Pyramid Texts two “evil eyes” are mentioned, which seal the door-catch. It was believed that the sun and the moon were the eyes of the god Horus of whom it was written that “when he opens his eyes he fills the universe with light and when he shuts them darkness appears” Protective eye amulets were worn by both the living and the dead; the eye represented a unified Egypt, and action, anger or protection.

Netherworld Explained: Boomerangs
Although these boomerangs in particular are not functional in the real world, they would serve a very important purpose in the afterlife. These were King Tut’s weapons in the afterlife, where he would encounter evil deadly forces. From the coffin texts: “Be weary, O squatters, hidden of faces, living by their throw sticks. I am mighty, weighty of divine striking force”. ⚔
