“'Bristol: A good place to live,' proclaims a giant glowing sign arching over State Street. In 1921, citizens of Bristol, Tennessee, and Bristol, Virginia, voted for the modest slogan. A century later, Bristol’s also a good place to visit, thanks to boutique hotels, lots of local shopping, and an interactive museum celebrating music history." Thank you, Emma Hunt from Atlanta Magazine for paying us a visit and for the great article!

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our loyal and dear friend Dianna Necessary. For many years Dianna tirelessly volunteered in our office, often days and weeks on end, helping us prepare for Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion and working with us side-by-side at Speedway in Lights. Our prayers go out to her family and many, many friends - she was truly kind with a generous nature and will be deeply missed.

Scottish settlers established themselves in the Appalachian region of several states, including North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia. In these isolated areas, the old songs of love, loss, murder, ghosts, and earlier times were passed down by oral tradition, expressing timeless themes and ties to the past. Over time the melodies and words changed creating variations that are still sung today. Pre-register to take part in the Birthplace of Country Music Museum's Virtual Speaker Series: Jennifer Licko on Appalachia and Scottish Folk Songs Nov. 9! Held via Zoom, the event is free and open the public. https://bit.ly/3aHHQOo

"This is a sad day for Bristol and our region. Always forward-thinking, Carl Moore helped pass the resolution through Tennessee state legislature designating Bristol as the birthplace of country music. The measure would later pass in Virginia and eventually the United States Congress. He was well respected and a friend to so many across the state of Tennessee. The Birthplace of Country Music wishes to extend our deepest condolences to his family and everyone who is mourning his loss. He was a great advocate for our community, and we are grateful for his legacy." ~ Leah Ross, Executive Director, Birthplace of Country Music.

Shame on you for not communicating to ticket holders about the 6 artists that canceled 2021 BRR. I had to find out from a family member in roanoke, VA! We have tickets but we are not going and requesting a refund. Will rethink future BRR.
Thank you so much for your app Radio Bristol.. I have discovered so much great music that enriched my life.....much love...
Hello! It's finally out! My newly-republished book, AMAZING TENNESSEE: FASCINATING FACTS, ENTERTAINING TALES, BIZARRE HAPPENINGS AND FANTASTIC PLACES TO VISIT IN THE VOLUNTEER STATE has many interesting stories, with mention of the great number of museums and attractions that tell more about your wonderful state. The book has had wonderful reviews in both Vanderbilt Magazine and Southern Living. It's available (at wholesale prices, for gift-shops and volume orders) through my publisher, www.MoonHowlerPublishing.com, or (at retail prices) through Amazon! My writer's website is www.TJensenLacey.com. My cell is 931.801.7495. I am available for readings and book signings, and would love to visit Tennessee again! All the best, T. (Theresa) Jensen Lacey Author, 20+ books, 17 book contributions (anthologies), 800+ articles for newspapers and magazines PS Your story is in the chapter on “Film, Music and Drama”
Sad to read about Hank Williams Jr.'s daughter being killed in an accident . I remember watching her on Say yes to the dress, picking out her wedding gown. She seemed very sweet.
We really had such high hopes of winning 😔😫. Next year Bristol Sessions Raffle & R&R!
Congratulations in order for banjo master, Butch Robins! Well deserved!
Come join us for a pre holiday jam!
Please help! Still haven't received our 3-day shuttle wristbands for next week's Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion. They (3 of them) were due to be shipped via priority mail & we're heading to Bristol a couple of days early to stay in the area from out of town.
