The 2020 Chatham Sartomer Arkema race is canceled for this year due to number of factors. Several of these factors are prompted by COVID-19. The race committee regrets the cancellation.

Col. Michael Brown (USMC Ret.), president of Hargrave Military Academy (HMA), accepted a $442.19 check from 2019 Race Committee member William Wiebking. The funds were provided on January 30th as fundraising disbursement from the 2019 Chatham Sartomer Arkema 5K race. Jason Reese, principal of Chatham High School (CHS), accepted two checks, $522.59 for the CHS JROTC and $379.06 for CHS, from 2019 Race Committee member SFC Eddie Perdue (USA Ret.). Perdue is an instructor at CHS. The funds were provided on January 28th as fundraising disbursement from the 2019 Chatham Sartomer Arkema 5K race. The annual race supports local fire, rescue, schools, and charities with unrestricted funding.

Caleb Wright wins Sartomer Arkema 5k in Chatham with 16:32 overall time

Defending Sartomer Arkema 5K race winner Caleb Wright won the race again Saturday, Sept. 14 with an overall time of 16 minutes and 32 seconds.
