A second promotion to the same database will often produce half the response rate of the initial promotion. The initial promotion may be discarded or perhaps the person is too busy to take the time to read therefore, the second promotion will get the recipient's attention and that's why it's always good to do a second solicitation. Of course, as Mae West said " too much of a good thing is just wonderful" but on the other hand" Pigs get fed and Hogs get slaughtered" so no need to keep promoting to the point that there is a backlash against your solicitations.
