Mission: I SEE YOU'VE TRAVELED SOME Wherever you may chance to be Wherever you may roam, Far away in foreign lands; Or just at Home Sweet Home; It always gives you pleasure, it makes your heart strings hum Just to hear the words of cheer, "I see you've traveled some." When you get a brother's greeting, And he takes you by the hand, It thrills you with a feeling that you cannot understand, You feel that bond of brotherhood that tie that's sure to come When you hear him say in a friendly way "I see you've traveled some." And if you are a stranger, In strange lands all alone If fate has left you stranded Dead broke and far from home, It thrills you--makes you numb, When he says with a grip of fellowship, "I see you've traveled some." And when your final summons comes, To take a last long trip, Adorned with Lambskins Apron White and gems of fellowship The tiler at the Golden Gate, With square and rule and plumb Will size up your pin and say "Walk In", "I see you've traveled some." This is a good read guys! PM Otis Gallion

Buzz Aldrin is a Boy Scout and a Freemason. He is the second man to have walked on the moon, and the first Mason to set foot upon the celestial globe, making him one of the most famous Masonic Scouters in History. When Buzz traveled to the Moon, he carried this Masonic flag with him. Freemasonry was very important to Aldrin, and when he stepped out onto the lunar surface, he honored not only the Craft, but every Mason who has ever lived.

Under a special deputation from Grand Master J. Guy Smith, Aldrin was given the authority to open a Representation of the Grand Lodge of Texas on the Moon and establish Masonic Territorial Jurisdiction there. Aldrin carried the deputation to the Moon, along with a 33° Scottish Rite flag, which he unfurled on July 20, 1969, stating that "our flags" were being planted on the lunar surface. That day, mankind finally walked on the Moon in peace and friendship – two virtues that every Mason carries within his heart.

Aldrin was also a Boy Scout. The peril of his mission required him to train for every possible scenario, as even the smallest mishap in space could lead to certain disaster. His years of rigorous astronaut training exemplified the two simple words of the Scout motto: BE PREPARED.

Today

Thank you Lord for hearing and answering our prayers!

More votes than any other President! First woman of color and mixed family, as Vice President. The First Lady will continue to teach, knowing what it feels like to be in a real world, while serving. And yes maybe the oldest but more experience coming in on day one, than any other! Please be Joe and bring peace to this land!

Have any of you noticed there are no guns and no confederate flags but the United States flag and so much peace! And the mixture of people and ages!

Congratulations!

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happens.

3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less from people but more from yourself.

You have two choices... smile and close this page, or pass this along to someone else to share the lesson.

THE COFFIN
A new Worshipful Master in a small town spent the first four days making personal visits to each of the members, inviting them to come to his first Lodge meeting. The following Thursday the Lodge was all but empty. Accordingly, the Worshipful Master placed a notice in the local newspapers, stating that, the person who was responsible for holding up the progress in the lodge was dead and it was everyones duty to give him a decent Masonic burial. The funeral would be held the following Monday afternoon, the notice said. Morbidly curious, a large crowd turned out for the "funeral." In front of the Altar, they saw a closed coffin, smothered in flowers. After the Chaplain delivered the eulogy, he opened the coffin and invited his Brethren to come forward and pay their final respect to their dead Lodge brother. Filled with curiosity as to who it was, all the Brethren eagerly lined up to look in the coffin. Each "mourner" peeped into the coffin then quickly turned away with a guilty, sheepish look. In the coffin, tilted at the correct angle, was a large mirror. Remember the obligation we all took. Attend and support your Lodge. #repost

General information

If there is anyway that we can be of any help to you, i.e. finding lost brothers, sending out letters, attending your meetings or being a part of some committee, please feel free to let us know. Remember being seen in the communities, being positive, showing people that we have fun in and out of church, proving that we are not just men in dark suits that you see at funerals help to make people want to be a part of our fraternity. Times are changing to the point where you may need to do more than wait to be asked to become a mason, but show the good reason for being a mason.
