And more excitement at Carter's Mill Event Venue! Tuesday, May 29, 2018, we were chosen to host the Retirement Celebration of Betty Bryant and Jim Davis from Pittsylvania county's emergency management system. Sponsoring the event was the Pittsylvania County Fire and Rescue Association comprised of all of the county's fire and rescue units, and also by the sheriff/police departments of the county. All county employees interacting with the retirees were also invited.

Association President and Fire Chief Dean Fowler, Blairs Volunteer Fire Department, said "We all just wanted to show our respect, gratitude, and admiration for all the decades of service, support, and dedication these two have given to this county." According to Fowler, approximately 150 people attended the event.
Mrs. Bryant is retiring with 45 years experience from her position as Administrative Secretary of the county's E-911 system while Mr. Davis is leaving with 22 years experience as Emergency Services Director.
Chief Fowler went on to say that "Their retirements will mean we lose a wealth of incomparable experience in this county."

We're installing a new WELCOME Arch on the front patio, new brick sidewalks, and beautifully designed (by Mike Coleman's Elite Fabrication) polished steel and wrought iron decor crowns, railings, and trim throughout the exterior entertainment areas!
