The Fine Arts Center of Easley is excited to announce two recent additions to our faculty.
Jason Murray (guitar, ukulele) is a singer-songwriter signed by the Philadelphia-based independent label Winding Way Records. His love for music began with being given his first guitar by his parents at age 13, eventually inspiring him to pursue a BA in music at New Mexico Highlands University, which he completed in 2016. Jason loves teaching and playing in a wide variety of styles, and enjoys finding ways to center lessons around students’ unique interests. He also enjoys exploring songwriting with students who are interested. He moved to Easley in 2021 from Boulder, Colorado, where he worked as a private music instructor. Jason released his debut solo album “Invisible Warmth” in 2019.
Gavin Glover (drums, percussion, piano) has been playing percussion and studying music since the age of 6. While he had a lot of formal training, he accredits much of his early musical knowledge to his Brother “Austin” who had many years of piano, violin, saxophone, and guitar experience as well as a wealth of music theory under his belt. Gavin later went on to study percussion at Brevard College under Dr. Laura Franklin where he received honors with a BA General Music degree in 2016. Gavin has teaching experience as an elementary music teacher, a high school percussion director, a marching band percussion tech, a private lesson instructor, and has worked with many special needs children. He has been a guest member in the Spartanburg Symphony Orchestra and has toured with a praise and worship band as well. Since moving to Greenville, South Carolina in 2017, Gavin has consistently performed with many local acts that have travelled throughout the south-east. He is currently endorsed by Vater Drumsticks, 1710 Percussion, Vratim, and TNR products. Gavin also enjoys playing the piano.

I see that you are having beginning guitar lessons for young children (to age 12). When will you be offering lessons to older kids (13 & older)? I would love for my daughter to learn the proper way to play guitar. She is teaching herself but I know she would greatly benefit from an experienced teacher. Thanks so much!
Thanks. Blair Academy for a humorous take on the truth!
Good advice!
Love this!
Haha!
And congratulations to Powdersville Band as well! We have some music superstars in our community!
Congratulations to both Easley and Pickens bands for first place wins in their respective divisions at Upper State!
I would like to congratulate all the students who participated in the Spring Recital. My guess is Saturday was much like Tuesday night, if so then we have some talented young musicians. Great job and keep it up! To my fellow teachers...keep on doing what you are doing as it is working!
