A huge shout out to the following volunteers who invested time and labor to get a metal roof on the food booth.
Sam Webb, who arranged to get the metal donated and picked it up and delivered it to the grounds.
Susan Sullivan who ran around purchasing supplies needed to install a metal roof.
Jim Sullivan who provided the slats as well as doing the cutting and handing up of the metal sheets.
Ryan Sullivan who also helped cut metal and hand metal sheets and slats to those on the roof.
Travis Sullivan who was a tremendous help in the installation process including doing all the edge screws on the slippery metal.
Christina Carnes who was also on the roof installing slats and the metal sheets.

We worked until way after sundown last night before it became to dark to continue. When we left the grounds at 9:40 pm, the front side was complete, all slats done on the second side as well as some of the metal sheets installed on the second side and all metal had been cut for the rest of the install. The roof should be finished today. Christina

The board of directors and some executive officers held a meeting tonight to discuss the club opening and events this season with the current Covid-19 pandemic. There is a lot of uncertainty as Governor Scott still has not lifted all the restrictions that have been placed on us.

The following has been decided:

1) The club grounds will be open for member use starting this Saturday, May 23. The gate will be open at the end of the drive. Different then previous years, the restrooms will remain closed for now. Please plan accordingly.

2) There is no equipment set up by the rings so riders who want to practice gymkhana games should bring their own equipment.

3) The electricity and water have not been turned on, therefore members should bring in their own water for their horses.

4) Please maintain and practice social distancing while utilizing the club grounds.

5) All May events and early June events are cancelled which includes the first Open Horse Show on June 7. The first event we hope to have will be the PeeWee Gymkhana scheduled on June 20 as long as Governor Scott doesn’t impose more restrictions.

6) Important reminder to all who travel out of state and spend the night elsewhere, you are supposed to self quarantine for 14 days upon returning to Vermont. Please abide by this.

7) The use of Club Grounds is for paid members only. If you haven’t paid your 2020 dues, please download the form from the club website and send in your dues with the completed form.

8)There are no trash cans setup on the grounds, please police after yourselves. The maintenance contractor will still be mowing the grounds as needed so spread out any large piles of hay or manure.

Thank you to all the members for your patience during these trying times.

Hey all, I have Billy of Billy Smith Horsemanship coming Saturday to continue in training my filly. He has offered to add in a few other people if anyone has any interest. He is extremely good at fixing any issues you may have, and is also very reasonably priced. If you have an interest please PM me and I can schedule it with you.
Hello all, I'm a member and I've heard that there is a short trail loop you can do with your horse behind the grounds, but I can't find more info. The rules say something about staying to the edge of the hayfield, does that mean the one I've outlined below? Does it connect into the town forest? I want to use them if they're available, but definitely won't risk riding somewhere I'm not welcome and giving us a bad reputation. Thank you!
New this year!!!!!
We moved from Maine to Georgia, Vermont in 1967. We lived down on the Conger Road. I remember when i was a kid, the Clydesdale horses visited and were staying at your place. What an amazing site to see! I stumbled upon a post in my feed from you about an event, the memory just popped up in my head and had to mention it. :)
I saw the dates for your Horse Shows but was wondering when you would have dates for your gymkhana? thanks :)
