I really appreciate this page as a source for filmmakers in the community. It is so nice to have a space to connect with other fans and creatives. I recently watched a really interesting and inspiring indie film that I felt compelled to share. Originally released in 1993, “Ruby in Paradise” has been remastered for re-release this year and I’m so glad I got to see it. Writer/Director Victor Nuñez has crafted a beautiful coming-of-age piece that really highlights Ashley Judd as an actress, as this is her feature-film debut. Judd is an undeniable force on screen, really elevating Nuñez’s compelling script. I’ve always loved films that are grounded in realism and this one reminded me a lot of more recent indie pictures like “Moonlight” or ‘Boyhood.” I wanted to share my experience with other fans of film or creatives who may be looking for some sort of inspiration in these unprecedented times. It is available now on VOD platforms, such as Prime Video. Let me know what you think!
It is such a pleasure to find communities such as these that help create connections and opportunities for future filmmakers. I thought I could contribute to this page by suggesting a new sci-fi thriller called Empathy Inc. Coming from a film background myself I found it so interesting how director Yedidya Gorsetman was able to pull off such profound tropes of both mortality and greed on these characters he’s presented. The film follows Joel (Zach Robidas) a failed tech venture capitalist becoming involved with a startup extreme virtual reality company called Empathy Inc. When sitting down to watch the film I was surprised on how each scene purposely throws you on a loop, but with a comprehendible resolving ending. This film is out on VOD and I’d highly suggest watching it!
Enjoyed watching Narratives Shorts. Especially my son’s, Craving! 🎥

Horror movie fans, the new supernatural thriller Soul to Keep from Director David Allensworth is now available for online streaming everywhere! I really enjoyed getting to see how his vision for a modernized horror film came to life, while still incorporating classic touches. Great choice for those looking for a new and entertaining movie to see over the weekend.
Didn't make it to the first Indigo Film Festival I was selected for because Fayetteville was under water at the time. Went last year because they selected "Ground Zero Goldsboro" as part of their festival line-up. Had a great time! Hope to be back this year
INDIGO MOON FILM FESTIVAL was well-organized indie-friendly. The staff was on point and the awards buffet was tasty!
I loved my experience with Indigo Moon. Really great people, excellent communication, and overall terrific experience. I hope to be included again in future lineups!!
THE INDIGO MOON FILM FESTIVAL 2018 WAS A PLEASURE ... My documentary, "Ground Zero Goldsboro," was screened in the loge section of the Camero Art House Theatre and I enjoyed an active Q&A session with the audiece after the screening. The awards luncheon the next day at the Skyview was pleasant and the food was good. Indigo Moon Film Festival, take a bow, please!
The Indigo Moon Film Festival was delightful! The theaters were full, the audiences engaged, and the Q&A’s and comments insightful and thoughtful. It was an all around good time surrounded by tremendous creative energy and abundant talent. Kudos to IMFF and particularly Pat and Jan! Deepest thanks for including IN RAJASTHAN.
Indigo Moon Festival was spirited and refreshing! Communicating with Pat and Jan prior to the Festival was easy and professional. They always responded quickly. I LOVED the sweet circa 1910 CAMEO THEATER where my film, Chairman Jones, screened on Saturday evening to an alive and inquisitive audience. Plus, the volunteers at Indigo Moon were the best---both friendly and extremely helpful! INDIGO MOON ROCKS!
This weekend was phenomenal! Thank you so much Jan and Pat for investing in our community, for your foresight, talent and patience. I am so proud to have been a tiny part in this huge event. I can't wait for next year. Thank you again.
