TONIGHT! Christmas at the Train! Come enjoy outside fun between 5:30 and 8:00 at Greenwood's Railroad Historical Center. The weather is nice, and the lights and decorations are beautiful. Only $5 per person ($25 maximum per family), and admission is at the gate.

Christmas at the Greenwood Museum
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Uptown Holiday Open House is this weekend. While you're out shopping, come in The Museum to see our decorations, Dept. 56 Christmas in the City village, and our featured exhibit on Greenwood Mills and the history of textiles in Greenwood.

Tomorrow (Sat., Sept. 26) is the last day of the regular season for tours of Greenwood's Railroad Historical Center. We will be open from 10-4. Although the regular season ends tomorrow, we will gladly schedule private tours for groups of 4 or more by appointment. Call 864-229-7093.

This is the last week for the Pirates of the Carolinas and Here Comes the Bride exhibits. We are open Wednesdays - Saturdays from 10:00-4:00. Our next exhibit will be about the history of Greenwood Mills and will open on October 8.
We were pleased to have Mayor Brandon Smith present a proclamation to the Mt. Ariel Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution honoring the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution granting women the right to vote. Helen Nazzaro is pictured with Mayor Smith.
Mt. Ariel Chapter, NSDAR Members will hold a mock Suffrage demonstration in front of the Greenwood museum at 2:30 pm Tues. August 25. August 26 is the 100th anniversary of the Nineteenth amendment’s ratification. We'll open The Museum from 2:00-4:00. Regular Museum hours are Wednesdays-Saturdays from 10:00-4:00. Come see the wonderful, educational exhibit celebrating women's right to vote!
We only have the Pirate exhibit through August 29. Come see it before it closes! Admission to The Museum is free.

DID YOU KNOW? On August 18, 1920, Tennessee was the last of the required 36 states to ratify the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution granting voting rights to women. The Museum is preparing an exhibit commemorating its 100th anniversary. When did South Carolina ratify the 19th amendment?
