The worst experience of a lifetime. 3 guests check in. 2 adults and a child. Double rooms connected for child. 4 keys given by the front desk for the 3 people. They can see the 2 rooms and 3 guest... None of the keys ever worked. My Fiancee made a phone call made to the Front Desk informing the staff that we had room key issues. The Conversation was that, we would need new keys and would be picking them up after breakfast. Upon returning from breakfast, I arrived and asked for the key to be fixed. I was dumbfounded when the Manager, Mrs. Pat Vandenberg would inform me that she would refuse to allow me to enter the room. I called my Fiancee and he was on a golf course and did not answer immediately. We were tired and wanted to lay down. Whatever the hotel issue, I knew he would be golfing for 5 hours. I can't make a child wait for 5 Hours in the lobby of the Double Tree Hilton Hotel where we are staying!!! When I asked, "What do we do? Return home and leave the hotel?" The manager of a hospitality hotel, gestured with a shoulder shrug. Well.. that is what happened. Bill was paid and we went into the room assisted by a manager... we pack toys, computers, clothes, and pack our car and leave. I had to leave my Fiancee's things, because I was already made to feel that I was a "thief and trying to break into her hotel". My Fiancee called the hotel, and was completely shattered that Mrs. Pat Vandenberg, the Manager would send away his family. Our family weekend was ruined, our day was ruined, my fiancé was completely furious with her decision to handle us this way, and we wasted our time and money to visit this hotel. I can assure you... the hotel room was FILTHY, the elevator was FILTHY, the mattress was completely ruined and flat on one half of the King bed!!!!!, every corner of the entire double suite room was full of dust and hair. When we were informed by Pat Vandenberg that we could not stay in the hotel, but we could gather my and my son's personal affects, it was 2:30pm and our room was not even cleaned!!! I can assure you that this hotel is in poor condition, not Covid cleaned, and the ridiculous manager names Pat who is not fit to serve the public. Especailly, the manager is not qualified to manage a simple hotel key repair. That happens every single day at every single hotel.... and never have I ever been told me the only option was to depart the hotel to return home from my vacation. I will not stop this complaint until it lands on the CEO's Desk. How idiotic.
Stay 7/11-12 - Thank you for requiring your staff to wear masks! I hope with the new State Executive Order that you will also start requiring guests to wear masks in public areas.

So the Double Tree by Hilton in Holland I don't recommend at all!! You pay more then let's say Holiday in Excess and don't get breakfast included! The pool is way smaller the hot tub is way smaller.. yet again they cost more $$$$!

Use to work here with my school then a little after school in summer good place cookies are the bomb and food is amazing. I LOVED WORKING THERE VARY FRIENDLY.
I have never been there , but have heard a lot of really great things about Double Tree.
I really enjoyed my recent stay here, the building itself is in good shape, not run down and creepy, and the pool/hot tub area was very inviting. All the staff I encountered were very pleasant and helpful, like Chef Chuck, who walked the breakfast area chatting with the guests, making sure the food was in order, which it was, and his potatoes were maybe the best I've ever had. Blythe was also a bright spot during my visit, her personality/professionalism and smile made every breakfast a delight. And Mr. Alan Shirey, when ever I bumped into him, he was always very pleasant and curious if all was well with my stay, which it was. Thank you Holland Doubletree, I'll be back.
