Programs will be available to those in Central Iowa to pick up the week of SHOWZAM. For those outside of Ctl Ia, we will happily ship to you!

Those who placed Student Ads will receive a copy free.

This year’s program features the Johnston choirs in a greater way than the past. Unfortunately as with everything Covid made it more challenging to get many choirs information. In 2022 we plan to return to the traditional format.

Attention Senior Choir, Band and Crew Parents, deadline to respond is February 10th!

Who's ready for SHOW CHOIR? Senior Parent Style.

The Date has been set (March 27th in case you missed it) for the 2021 Senior Parent's Show. Yes it's a tradition, ask your choir/crew/band student, like no other.

The choir will perform new versions of Inno, Synergy and Bella Voce songs. We need you, whether you can sing or not.. can play an instrument or hold signs with words!!

Yes we will be Covid conscious. Like our choirs, we will be having Zoom rehearsal supplemented with video and audio recordings you can practice as much as you like in between. We will have ONE in person practice (fully masked) before the 27th and then the big day. Again, masked and socially distanced....and full of talent, energy and fun.

If you would like to take part please respond prior to the end of day February 10th, PLEASE email ([email protected]) or text (515-954-8389) the names of who will be in the choir, show band or crew... and your T Shirt Sizes. That's all right now...

Any questions or ideas, you have my email and cell, let em rip. Don't you think our Seniors deserve a proper send off? That's what i thought, see you soon!

The deadline for local businesses to place an ad on the SHOWZAM Livestream is February 8th! We would LOVE to feature YOUR company/store/service over the course of both days of SHOWZAM 2021.

In 2020, there were over 12,000 unique logins to the livestream. We expect even more in 2021 due to Covid restrictions on attendance and the fact all our choirs are from Central Iowa and how passionate Show Choir fans are locally!

The Johnston Police Department needs help locating a missing juvenile.

13-year-old, Angie Grear, was last seen in Johnston on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021. She is described as 5′ 8" and 130 pounds. The Johnston Police Department is concerned with her well-being.

Way to be Synergy! Tore up the stage at Hastings!

Now you are probably saying to yourself... Show Choir Camps look amazing, sure wish I could see all that work on the risers... You are in luck! Our 4th-6th and 7th-9th Camp participants will perform at 11 am on Thursday at JHS! No $ needed but you gotta bring the excitement... they feed on it! So be there and be loud! Little preview attached to this post!

Have you had the opportunity to see Johnston’s own a Capella group... Unaccompanied Minors? Here’s your chance... check out their take on a PATD song. If you have a HS daughter or son, encourage them to try out for 2019-2020 UM!

Just wanted to give a shout out to our music program. I met a lady at my store the other day who, back in the day, was a show choir mom. She was about my mom's age, so not a spring chicken but still remembers when the comps were and loved seeing pics of my son in his show choir outfit. I love that these people have built a legacy for our kids and I hope we continue that legacy for the future of JHS!!
