Congratulations to the Irish ladies on their first ever side saddle race!
Join Tom Freyne at the Lisronagh Point-To-Point for the first ever Ladies Side Saddle Race to be run in Ireland, thirteen brave ladies came under starters orders for the mile and a quarter race, we chatted to some of the riders before the contest and had a word with the winning rider, Amelia Turner.
Join us on Sat August 13th beginning at 2 pm as we celebrate Dr. Mary Musheno's high point US rider score for 2016. A women in racing round tack discussion will follow. Middy N' Me will host a trunk show and the new Side Saddle Cafe in Middleburg will have have snacks on hand to pair with Greenhill Winery & Vineyard sparkling wine! It was an honor to attend today's 20th Annual Meeting & Tourism Awards ceremony. Our 2015 inaugural side saddle race came in 2nd place for event of the year. Devon and I can't thank Michael O'Connor enough for his amazing support!

Maggie Johnston’s passion for horses and tradition are perfectly encompassed in her love for riding sidesaddle. For the past decade, Johnston has been fox hunting, showing and most recently racing while riding with both legs on one side.

We are only a few weeks away from the race at Oatlands on April 17th! The jumping section will go at 12 noon sharp, and will be 2 miles long with 6 fences. The flat section will be at 12:30 pm, and will be 1+ mile long. A lot of the riders had a good prep at Cheshire last weekend, and the others are busy gearing up to race. We are looking forward to seeing all our supporters on race day, so make plans now to arrive early, as you won't want to miss the ladies go galloping by!
