It's the new U.S. Navy Blue Angels C-130 aircrew!

Looking forward to seeing them at an air show soon!

Meet our all-Marine C-130 aircrew!

Formally known as Crewmasters, our Blue Angels Fixed-Wing Aircraft Loadmasters are aircrew who perform duties essential to the operation and maintenance of the C-130J Aircraft and are qualified as Flight Engineers. Their routine duties include: pre-flight and post-flight checks, turnaround inspections, maintenance away from home station, servicing, staging and loading of cargo and passengers, computing weight and balance, high/low power engine runs and they serve as right seat taxi observers.

They are also responsible for assisting the pilots with engine run-up, takeoff, cruise, descent, landing, securing, and in-flight normal/emergency procedures.

Operationally, Loadmasters assist in the planning and execution of tactical missions such as air-to-air refueling, assault support missions, rapid ground refueling, low level flight, transporting hazardous cargo, aerial delivery, and battle field illumination.

The new #Bert is sporting a brand new paint scheme. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels that crew the aircraft are in the UK getting ready to fly it home to Pensacola, FL. Look for the C-130J to be flying in North American air shows again soon!

Your #BlueAngels C-130 pilots and crew are currently in Cambridge, United Kingdom with our new C-130J!

Over the next few weeks, team members will conduct a series of maintenance tests, which include an aircraft systems operational check out and a functional check flight, prior to completing the transatlantic flight to the United States.

#BAFans you will notice a couple changes to the paint scheme. The flight surfaces now have yellow tips, similar to our F/A-18s, 2 stripes run down the side of the aircraft and the iconic white top has been changed to a tear drop design.

This C-130J model will provide improved logistics support and eventually join the Blue Angels demonstration!

*Please note that our team is practicing social distancing and taking every precaution to maintain mission readiness. Stay safe!*

As the first live air show since the pandemic shutdown, Thunder over Cedar Creek Air Show is coming up in less than two weeks.

Just announced: LiveAirShowTV will be streaming portions of the show, live from Texas! More information coming soon.

Celebrate Independence Day with an Air Show!

LiveAirShowTV is proud to partner with Thunder over Cedar Creek Air Show to broadcast the first public air show of the 2020 season! Since the #Covid19 #pandemic shut down virtually all public events since late March, air show fans have been craving some real flying action. This annual event has grown each year, and this year will be the best yet. You can see some of the performers on the Thunder Over Cedar Creek website but watch for more additions this week. http://www.tocclairshow.com/lineup.html

LiveAirShowTV will stream the show LIVE on Saturday evening, July 4th as well as the rehearsal Friday evening, July 3rd. Watch all the action on our page.

“We’re excited to be able to bring all the flying action to the world”, said Air Show Director and premiere jet demo pilot RANDY W. BALL. “LiveAirShowTV’s crew knows what these planes do and will let fans watch whether they are on a boat out in the lake, or halfway around the world.”

The show usually starts around 6:00pm CDT. Watch for a more specific time as the show gets closer.

Thunder Over Cedar Creek is presented by the Cedar Creek Veterans Foundation which supports Fisher House Foundation, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, and CampV Tyler. Viewers will have the opportunity to make a donation to this great organization during the broadcast.

Join us for the FIRST air show broadcast of the year LIVE from the Cedar Creek Reservoir (TX) and make your Independence Day celebration complete!

CF-18 DEMO TEAM CANCELS SEASON
The Canadian Forces CF18 Demo Team posted the cancellation of their season saying, "Unfortunately, due to uncertainty regarding COVID-19, the cancellation of most air shows on our 2020 schedule and to protect the health and safety of spectators and our team members, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 CF-18 Demo Team season.

We are disappointed that we won’t get to see any of our amazing and supportive fans this summer. We know that this is a difficult year for our airshow community and want to say thank you to the organizers and countless volunteers who worked so hard to prepare to host us at their shows this year. We truly appreciate your efforts and can’t wait to work with you again in the future.

While we won’t be able to bring you imagery and video of a new paint scheme and team, we will be looking at other ways of interacting with all of you throughout the next year. Stay tuned and stay safe!"

General information

ICAS was founded in 1967 as a trade and professional association by industry professionals to protect and promote their interests in the growing North American air show marketplace. At the time, this small group of air show event organizers and performers recognized the need for standardization of industry practices in key areas such as safety and business practices that could only be achieved collectively. They knew that -- for such standardization to occur -- the industry needed to act and speak with a single voice and that voice was established in ICAS. Today, the organization’s mission statement has evolved a bit, but still focuses on the core principles around which the organization was created: 1) to maintain safety; 2) to serve as an information resource on air show issues for those within and outside the industry; 3) to provide for the training and continuing education needs of ICAS members and air show professionals generally; and 4) to promote the air show industry to the media, Corporate North America and the general public.

David Buck, a Delta Captain living in Senoia set this up with Buck's help. Please chip in... Senoia residents: A tragedy occurred on our doorstep last night. As many of you know, Senoia has had for many years a fly-in community called Big T airport. It is located adjacent to Highway 16 near Circle K/McDonalds. A number of our residents live on that grass runway and fly their planes in and out. One of the residents is the Sorenson family. Mark Sorenson is a world-class airshow performer and airline Captain. His air show flying partner, Mark Nowosielski, is originally from South Africa and resided in Florida. Yesterday Mark Nowosielski flew a newly-acquired aircraft into Big T and picked up Mark Sorenson’s teen aged son and took him for a ride. Something happened and a crash occurred and both perished. To say this is an unspeakable tragedy is an understatement. The Sorenson’s are clearly grieving and I’m sure Mark Nowosielski’s family is well. This is a perfect time to step up as a community and shower the Sorenson’s (and Nowosielski family) with some Senoia love. ❤️ 👉🏻 PLEASE give them privacy and don’t reach out to them at this time. But I’d like to help spearhead collecting some money from their Senoia neighbors and surrounding community to help pay for funeral and other costs. One need that exists is Mark Nowosielski’s Mother will need to fly out from South Africa for the funeral. That will be costly. And I’m sure there are other needs as well. Some of you may remember that I spearheaded the fund raising to “resurrect” the chiming clock at Senoia’s main intersection. I raised funds through GoFundMe. As this has gotten bigger, it’s clear that GoFundMe is going to be the best, and safest, way to continue to raise funds. If you’d like to contribute, here are your options: 👉🏻GoFundMe: gofundme.com/f/twin-tigers-memorial-fund 👉🏻Checks (👉🏻made out to Mark Sorenson) or CASH can be dropped off at Senoia Coffee Company (thank you Brent and April Watson Anderson) Every dollar helps. Let’s send some Senoia love these hurting families’ way. Thank you! Special thanks to another local world-class airshow performer Buck Roetman for his help setting this up. Buck is very close with these families and lost dear friends in this tragedy.
More than just an environment to conduct business, the ICAS Convention in Las Vegas proved to be a great opportunity to meet many of my heros and share countless amazing stories

APPLE VALLEY AIRSHOW TIPS: Bring your family and friends! Otherwise, they will be jealous they didn't go. Get there early for best parking which is free! You don't want to end up in the tumbleweeds. Plus, you will be totally annoyed if you missed the F-16 because it's flying early. Bring the kids, because they are going to have such a great time they will sleep well that night. Wear sunscreen, because it is going to be sunny and gorgeous and if you played hookie to go to the airshow your colleagues will know you went to the airshow if you show up to work with a sunglasses tan. Wear sunglasses, hats, etc. because you know you look cool in them. Bring a folding chair if you want. This may help you get so comfi, you won't want to get up and you will not miss any of the performers. Bleachers are available free of charge. You can bring a stadium cushion for the bleachers. Charge your cell phone and maybe bring a back up booster because you we know are going to take a lot of photos and a TON of selfies! And you know you are going to share them with all your friends on social media. Bring cash cause you know you want a blue snow cone so you can take a selfie and post it so you can let your friends know you are at the Apple Valley Airshow. Anyway, ATMs available at minimal fees. What's permitted and prohibited is found online. Do click on the FAQs page, you wouldn't want to bring a large beach umbrella or a large cooler and have to walk back to the car. That would make anyone cranky. Read all the FAQs at http://applevalleyairshow.com/faq No dogs or pets allowed. Service animals ok. However, the jet noise may freak them out and the asphalt may be hot for their paws. You know they like to sleep on the couch when you are gone. So, come out and have a great time. It will be a ton more fun than chilling on the couch. For more info, go to www.applevalleyairshow.com. F-16 Viper Demo Team #ViperDemoTeam #AppleValleyAirshow
