Clay Central Percussion

Clay Central Percussion We are Clay Central's Best In Class DrumLine! The consolidation of one of the most historic school rivals birth a new school that is continuing to grow in size and competition.

The Clay Central Percussion is apart of the well respected and organized organizations of Clay Central. The Marching Volunteers bring fantastic performances, and numerous awards that make the county proud. Our first band competition as a new band and drumline marked our success and history. As we were having our motivational talk a rival drumline walked right through our group huddle and from that moment on the Clay Central Percussion has been the best drumline in it's class

Congratulations to Devontae Lindsey for being the next Clay Central Alumni to be apart of the Auburn University Marching Band. Can’t wait to see you and other past marching volunteers in Jordan Hare Stadium. War Eagle and Go Vols

We’re Baacckk!!! The Marching Volunteers are getting ready for action to bring home another great performance every Friday of the Football Season. We are excited for the new season and for the new football coach. Congratulations to all the girls for passing the audition for the 2018-2019 year. Up next are percussionists. Go Vols!

The marching season is officially over.
The band sends many many thank yous to everyone who has helped out, took time out of their day to support us, and care for us. This season has been very successful for the band and the seniors. Thank you everyone who came out for the Christmas Concert. If you missed it, you can catch a couple of videos of the concert band. Also watch the Jazz band and the talented Ms. Hallie Fortner perform "All I Want for Christmas is You". All can be found on the high school's website. Lastly tonight will be the Christmas Parade for Lineville at 6pm. Thank you all once again and Merry Christmas!

The DrumLine has started our new tradition: Public Rehearsal. At 5 o'clock every home game. We would love to see our fans, supporters, parents, teachers, and prospective percussion students come out to watch and possibly learn.

Come out and witness the DrumLine of 2017!

First week of band camp was a success! This band is getting better day by day and we are so glad and excited to start the new season. So thankful to have Alden Guinn from Jacksonville State University and Devontae Lindsey from Auburn University to come and teach and lead the percussion section. The DrumLine has a new sound, new faces, and more dedication. Ready for the 1st show

Band Camp is just around the corner.
This Sunday at 3pm there will be a mandatory parent and student meeting in the band room.
We are beyond excited to work with our new students and returning students on the Billy Joel show this year. Feel free to ask questions or email Mr. Arline about band camp and fees.
Looking forward to another great season with the Volunteers!

Band Camp is July 17th through July 28th. If you are/have a child in Central's Percussion, the percussion camp is July 10th - July 14th. The week before band camp.

Band camp is 8am - 5pm Everyday
Percussion camp is 5:30pm - 8:00pm Everyday except Wednesday.

Each camp is mandatory and any musician/student must tell Mr. Arline and Chris Bass if he or she won't be able to attend either of the camps.

A special congratulations to Alden Guinn for making the DrumLine at Jacksonville State University. Another huge accomplishment for our band Alumni. We know you'll be good at your new role at JSU. BLOW SOUTHERNERS!

The new season is upon us now ladies and gentlemen. The band this year will be performing a Billy Joel theme. Featuring, Piano Man, We Didn't Start The Fire, and more. Congratulations to the seniors on graduating high school. It's been a fun year! Congratulations to the new members of the DrumLine for this season. More to come from the Marching Vols!

Good Afternoon marching band lovers.

The CHS DrumLine has now completed the 2016 season. Thank you all who helped us with Indoor Drumline. It was a challenge but a learning experience. The coming up year will be better than the last as we bring a new show to the field and a new show on the floor.
Placements are coming up and we are excited to see what talented kids we have coming in and proud to release talented seniors into the world of music. Thanks again! See you all in May!

Our first indoor Drumline competition turned out to be not as bad as we expected. We finished in 6th place out of 7 drumlines. But we were a point away from 5th. The judges were very critical but also very interested in our show. This competition is not like marching contest, it's like Drum Corps International (DCI) where you perfect your show as you go. We will change a lot of things and add many many visual effects. The next show will be better than ever! Thank you for your support.
-Central Percussion

Happy Sunday today at 2pm the DrumLine will be performing their 2017 Indoor DrumLine Show for the public at Central High School Gymnasium. Admission is free. The show theme: ' El Matador'

This year, the Clay Central Percussion has something brand new to add to the many traditions of the band program. This year we will be doing our own competition. Indoor Percussion is a competition for only percussionist. The theme of the show is 'El Matador'. There are many things that make this show happen. Such as backdrops, floor tarps, visuals and effects. We are so excited for you guys to see the show and watch us compete. The first show is at Hoover High School Feb 4th. Hope to see you soon!

Salutations and Happy New Year to all of our fans and supporters. Thank You everyone who has put in their time and effort to help shape this year and make it a success. The DrumLine thanks you and the Band thanks you!

Hello Central Fans. We hope you had an amazing summer. It's a new season for the Marching Vols and we couldn't be more excited. The show for this year is "Queen" featuring his top fan favorite hits! This show will be a small repeat of the 2nd year of Central but has a new look. The band has welcomed new faces and we're happy to have students of great talent. Look for us in the stands playing your favorite stadium jam, and on the field giving you guys something new every Friday night. August 19 can't get here fast enough. Central vs. Munford

The Percussion Packets for 2016 have been given out today. Placements will be held before May 12th which is also the spring game. All bands have safely returned home from Chicago! Not sure if any of you have seen all the fun they were having through Periscope, but many of us were jealous. We are happy they all had fun and met new friends. Next week is the Christmas parades in Lineville and Ashland.
Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!
