Run for Her participant and Women’s Cancer Program collaborator, Dr. Georgia Chenevix-Trench, highlights the worldwide research project involving over 70,000 women from 30 countries that discovers six new gene variations that increase ovarian cancer risk. FDA approves new ovarian cancer drug

Great news in ovarian cancer research: The FDA approved a new drug for patients with advanced disease associated with the BRCA mutation. Cedars-Sinai played a role in the development, which was announced late last week!

Opening a new chapter in the use of genomic science to fight cancer , the Food & Drug Administration on Friday approved olaparib, a medication for advanced ovarian cancer associated with a defective BRCA gene.
