Fun Fact: Los Angeles is the only city in North America to have hosted the Summer Olympics twice, in 1932 and 1984.

Fun Fact: USC athletes have taken home at least one gold medal from every Summer Olympics since 1912.

Remember to stay hydrated during these hot summer days! We lose a pint or more of water every day simply by breathing!

Spotlight on McCarthy Quad: Located between Doheny Library and Leavey Library, McCarthy Quad and the reflecting pool that borders its north side were made possible by a gift from USC Trustee Kathleen Leavey McCarthy. An expanse of pristine grass, McCarthy Quad offers an attractive setting for resting, studying or socializing. Every year a variety of special events and concerts are held at the Quad, including Conquest and Springfest!

Spotlight on Founders Park: Founders Park, so named because of its central role in USC’s early history, marks the site where USC’s founders constructed the original university building – Widney Alumni House – which stood in that spot from 1880 until 1907. Nestled between Taper Hall of Humanities (THH) and the Bovard Administration Building (ADM), Founders Park features trees and open green space for fairs, lunches, and receptions.

Have you had your first milkshake of the summer? If not, head to Ground Zero Performance Café, open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 6pm!
