Below is a special message from the Crew Aboard the Cool Change. Their dreams reach far and deep and their hearts too. If you have the opportunity to share their experiences and dreams with any one else please pass this email along. I did not have email addresses for many family and friends.

********************************************************************************

My beloved family and friends,

I wanted to take the time to fill you guys in on the things that have been happening in my life over the past year. In hopes to reconnect with all of you.

I have had this crazy dream for the past 5 years of sailing around the globe in search of my true self and the essence of life as we know it. I believe that this lies deep beneath the repetition of our daily lives but takes some serious digging to unearth. It took one giant leap of faith and years of savings to commence this Voyage. But now here we are 8 months and 5,000 nautical miles into our global journey. This is not a Vacation by any means and it has taken a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get as far as we have. This voyage is set to be the next 5 years of my life.

All in all I just wanted to get my whole network of Family and friends onboard with us to follow our journey from their arm chairs back home. We have done a great job of Documenting our travels and experiences. You can read all of the wild stories and watch our videos on our web site (seachangelog.com). We have put all of our heart and soul into these writings and short films so please take a moment out of your day to enjoy and share with the people in your world.

This whole voyage has been a self made project with many hurtles and all of the funds put into this thus far have been made by three young men’s drive to do something extraordinary with this lifetime. We have put ourselves on a path to make a difference for the people we meet as well they do for us. We are working with a few small volunteer groups to provide solar power, fresh water, and other various experiences of humanity as well.

If you like what we are up to out here (or just love us a lot) on this big blue horizon then please help us keep moving along our way by going to our Patreon page (https://www.patreon.com/seachange) to donate a nickel or even $5 to help keep us pushing onward. Every penny counts, we are in constant need of food, fuel, fresh drinking water and ways to fix our boat that is constantly taking a beating from good old mother ocean. We only have about 50,000 more nautical miles left to go before we cross the finish line:) I know that with the support of our loved ones and friends we can succeed. You can also buy prints of our photographs from the journey to help support us if you fancy something beautiful to hang in your home (http://seachange.smugmug.com/).

I love each and every one of you and hope to see a comment or an email from all of you one day. Just know i am thinking about you guys everyday out here. Please pass it on….

Entry 10 - Utila While our time spent in Guatemala was unforgettable, it was time once again to weigh anchor, set sail and begin our long crossing of the Caribbean Sea. But before leaving the Western Carib, we had to stop in one of the biggest dive meccas in the world; Utila, Honduras. This time we…

WELL I GOT TWO MORE PEOPLE TO COME TO JAMBOREE....this is my story and I am sticking to it!!!!

We live in Rattlesnake territory as we are in the high desert! We killed one eating a field mouse LAST year!!! Fire Dept had to kill it!

YESTERDAY I looked out the window as saw this fellow heading to the pool to "take a dip", hunt, get a drink??? Who knows but being to country girl from the mountains of Tennessee and the plains of Oklahoma it didn't take long for me to identity this species!!! I called the fire department but this one got away!!! I used great cautious when taking the trash out today!!!

BECAUSE THE FIREMEN HAD TO SEARCH THE NEIGHBORS YARD FOR THE SNAKE IT GAVE ME A CHANCE TO TELL OUR NEIGHBORS THAT I KNOW ARE INTERESTED IN GENEALOGY...ABOUT COMING TO JAMBOREE...AND THEY ARE!!! (Silver lining)

Here is what a Google search said about this kind of Rattlesnake!!!

Also know as the Western Diamondback, this snake is found in the southeast corner of the state between the altitudes of 0-7,000 feet, primarily in Imperial, Riverside, and San Bernadino counties, and is widely considered the most dangerous in California because of its large size and aggressive demeanor. Crotalus atrox is responsible for the majority of fatalities resulting from snake bites in Northern Mexico, and is the second-most common culprit of fatal snake bites in the US.

The Western Diamondback commonly grows to a length of about four feet, and occasionally exceeds six feet with larger specimens weighing nearly 15 pounds. They’re usually gray-brown, but can sometimes be pink-brown brick red, pale pink or yellow, or chalky white. Western diamondbacks also have a series of 24-25 brown or gray-brown dorsal blotches that take on a distinctive diamond shape near the tail, hence its name. The tail usually has 4-6 black bands separated by ashy gray bands.

Here throwback moment! In the late 90's maybe 2000??? I went to Big Bear with my friend Massimo Zeri who is a Director of Photography for the motion picture industry! We met on the stairs at a party in NYC when we were at the Emmys with my niece Adrienne Bailey. As we were leaving a gentleman stopped us and ask of we would pose for a photo with the beautiful lake as a backdrop! Massimo gave him the contact information and permission to publish I in the Big Bear calendar I believe! We never heard from him again!

A few years ago Massimo received the 2 photos of us with a note from his wife saying her husband had died but she wanted us to have them! It was very cool to see these after all these years!

Massimo just wrapped a movie that he shot in San Diego, CA and he will talk to A Savory Spotlight about that in June on LAtalkradio.com/content/savory-Spotlight

Brandon, hope all is well. Saw the trailer. Dope. Wanted to ask you how you managed to walk the 32 challenger out of the boat slip. I even got a guy over here that sailed all his life and didn't want to give it a shot. Godspeed and safe travels to your crew.

A message from Familytree DNA...
As you may know, National DNA Day is April 25th, and commemorates the day in 1953 when a paper detailing the structure of DNA was published in Nature magazine. It also recognizes the completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003.

At Family TreeDNA, we celebrate those accomplishments by having a sale on DNA tests forgenealogy!
