The Cotton Twins from Dude Perfect played at Westchester, today. And they stopped to take pictures and talk to the kids from our camp. They were so cool. Asking the kids about their golf games and taking time to say hi. The kids were so pumped.
Great playing by the Westchester All Stars yesterday at the PGA Jr League Local Qualifier at Costa Mesa. We finished -7, tied for 3rd of 10 teams ranging from OC to South Bay. The kids represented Westchester so well and they had a blast doing it. Thanks so much to the parents for all your support this season. JJ, Carolina, Alec, and Josh all graduate out of this division next year and it was a great send off.
Today, Westchester GC was well represented at the SCPGA Pro/Junior Event at Rustic Canyon. Coach David Kulla-Mader paired up with Jaxson, Jay Jay, and Teddy (71). And Coach Sean Keller played with Joshua, Carolina, and Peter (73). While we weren’t able to pull off the win (the top score was 65) we had a great time playing with some of our top competitive juniors.

On Monday, July 23 Jaxson Tagawa of The First Tee of Los Angeles stepped up to the second hole at Glendora Country Club in Glendora, California. 142 yards from the hole, Jaxson made his first ever hole-in-one!! The match almost took place on July 3 in Las Vegas, a prime-time TV special that was to have pitted Tiger Woods against Phil Mickelson in a $10 million winner-take-all, 18-hole death match. The negotiations, involving a major television network and various corporate entities, couldn't quite be consummated in time but Woods and Mickelson and their people remain committed to making it happen as soon as it's feasible. "We're working on a different date," Mickelson said on Thursday. "I thought it was done for the 3rd but obviously it wasn't." Woods's representatives declined to comment.

Thanks to all of the competitors and their families, who were so courteous and professional. It was great to see. Also, thanks to the staff at SCPGA for running a smooth tournament and helping us to showcase our course as a great place for juniors to play in SoCal. Hopefully, we will be on the schedule again soon.
