Historical Monument 157 on the California Landmark list --- also referred to as 'The Horace P Dibble House' (circa 1886) --- is a funky-old mansion in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Lincoln Heights. We function as a music venue, gallery, live/work space, farm & location for public and private events, film/photo shoots, cinema screenings, eco-workshops, skill sharing and more. Our artist cooperative works tirelessly to bring the good stuff your way. We are dedicated to the propagation of positive possibilities.
The Lincoln Heights Fridge has more food than I can handle! Much more in back! Anyone who wants to pick up food to take to other fridges please DM us!
We’re still here! And we miss you all!! ❤️
The wall of Liquid Death. These folks are donating, literally, hundreds of boxes of water to LA community fridges. Most of the patrons of the fridge do not fall into the demographic of future customers for this product, making their donation a genuinely charitable act. Even better, the cans trip people up and get them laughing and connecting with each other around the fridge. It’s really sweet to witness. 😊
We will be calling into the appeal hearing on October 8th. You should too.
I’m rarely up early enough to get a pic of how MUCH food comes every morning, but this should give you an idea. Even more is hiding in our overflow trunk!!
So much food is moving! Came out to bare shelves and restocked from the overflow trunk. Fridge could use water. 💧💛💧💛💧
10-5! Vintage clothing, accessories, housewares, records, art and more...
The Lincoln Heights Community Fridge is at HM157 - 3110 N Broadway. Your donations are deeply appreciated❣️
The fridge may seem bare lately but it’s only because the food is moving faster as more people become aware of this resource. In fact, we’re getting more and bigger donations than ever!!! It’s been truly wonderful to witness...
Thanks so much to the people that stepped up to volunteer! We just need 3 more people. 15-30 minutes once a week, cleaning the fridge and organizing the pantry. While not a glamorous job, I can guarantee it will make ya feel good. I clean the fridge multiple times a day and always enjoy my interactions with the fridge-visitors. Also, seeing how many people donate, is very inspiring. (I recommend it for pessimists like me! Ha!) Soon we will also need volunteers to pick up food and deliver it to the fridge - if driving is more your thing.
Thanks @petprogo !!! ❤️ #hm157 #lacommunityfridges #lincolnheights #foodforthehungry #gooddeeds #lincolnheightsfridge #happypets
Danny from All Saints has been stopping at Vons each morning and picking up bread and breakfast items to donate to the fridge/pantry almost every day since discovering it. So dang sweet!!! The community appreciates it so much. Thank you Danny!! ❤️ #hm157 #lacommunityfridges #lincolnheights #foodforthehungry #gooddeeds #lincolnheightsfridge
@_satanswifey Thanks so much for coming so promptly and fixing your beautiful fridge painting after it got tagged. You are amazing. 💛💛💛 #hm157 #lacommunityfridges #lincolnheights #foodforthehungry #gooddeeds #lincolnheightsfridge
So thankful... 💛
Individually packed food also gets taken faster and is less likely to spoil or go to waste. ❤️ #hm157 #lacommunityfridges #lincolnheights #foodforthehungry #gooddeeds #lincolnheightsfridge
Thanks Kristin! HM157 residents donate food too! Let’s keep documenting all this generosity!! Take a pic of your donation and post it! ❤️ #hm157 #lacommunityfridges #lincolnheights #foodforthehungry #gooddeeds #lincolnheightsfridge #hauntedbeatvintage #collectiveliving
At first I thought... Did someone seriously donate BEER?! Then I looked closer. Clever branding! Thank you to the lovely person who donated these. Water goes faster than any other one thing. Especially in this heat. ❤️ #hm157 #lacommunityfridges #lincolnheights #foodforthehungry #gooddeeds #lincolnheightsfridge
Thank you to the lovely person who donated these mini-bags of carrots and apples! This donation is ideal. Some may be concerned about packaging waste, but the trade off is well worth it. I’ve already seen two homeless men today digging into these healthy snacks and they were just donated! Thank you!!!
The first dry goods shelf got stolen, so this one is chained up!! Food on top books on the lower shelf!
Another kind soul leaving fresh veggies and more for people in need... ❤️
The community fridge is cold and ready to be stocked with food! All are welcome to do so!!
Please only donate food that you, yourself, would eat. Also, be as sanitary as possible. Place the older items in front, and newer items in back. There is a high demand for bottled water, milk, eggs, bread and other common staple foods. Meat is fine, preferably cooked, but please consider leaving healthy, well-rinsed fruit and veggies. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me thru this Instagram. Thank you!! #lincolnheights #foodforthepeople #gardentotable #everybodyeats #lacommunityfridges
