Description of Film:
Y I Y I (14); a hardworking, naive student at China’s premiere dance school. She has grown up in her mother’s
shadow, always pushed to overachieve, holding her mother up as a paragon of virtue. When Yiyi’s class is chosen to represent the school at the prestigious National Day Dance, Yiyi goes into overdrive in trying to get picked as the lead dancer. Yiyi wins the lead, only to find out that her mother has bribed the teacher.
