Inspired by progressive spaces like PS1, BAM, EMPAC, Participant Inc., and White Columns—and by alternative European art colonies like Tacheles and Rote Fabrik—ATX feels like a micro-urban oasis nestled in one of LA’s newest flourishing artist community, Atwater Village.
Spanning five industrial buildings across two city blocks, ATX offers a unique range of modular offices and creative spaces including artist studios, ateliers, lofts, workshops, and a 12,000 square-foot warehouse, in addition to artisanal manufacturing facilities, locations for photography and film shoots, a yoga studio and gym, and two theaters showcasing cutting-edge productions.
Housing graphic designers, architects, writers, video editors, fashion designers, special effects animators, photographers, carpenters, new media entrepreneurs, and dozens of other creative entrepreneurs, ATX welcomes anyone wishing to be part of a bustling and vibrant community to take advantage of the complex’s creative synergies by leasing an office, production suite, or shared atelier or by utilizing any of its various labyrinthine spaces for a variety of unique purposes or experimental appropriations, be they movie sets, film screenings, pop-up shops, community workshops, lectures, salons, panels, galas, exhibits, installations, wrap parties, and concerts.
