Happy new year minna! Excited for the concerts this 2013?
Hatsune Miku has been so popular. She may have outranked the other American singers and bands.. Unbelievable right? For a hologram :) I love her.
Haven't had much news yet. But please keep in touch!

Nendoroid.jp Now Available in English + Hatsune Miku Project Diva F Spotted at E3
In recent smaller news, nendoroid.jp has launched an English version of their website, nendoroid.jp/en/. Since many products are now becoming available for international shipping, this should make your product browsing experience much easier. Thank you very much to salanos for the tip!
This next blip of news doesn’t have a whole lot of information yet, but word states that a Project Diva F booth was spotted at E3, the Electronics Entertainment Expo, on Monday, June 4th. It’s unsure as to why a PjD F booth was even seen at a North American electronics show in the first place. There is a lot to speculate on that (as exciting as it is), but for now I’ll stick with what is known.
EDIT: Hatsune Miku’s page has confirmed there is a booth, SEGA has also announced via twitter that a booth is set up with a PjD F tech demo. Here is the tweet: E3 2012：Sony Computer Entertainment America（SCEA）ブースにで「初音ミク -Project DIVA- f」出展決定！（Tech Demo）リズムゲームは日本語のままの出展ですが明日からの現地の反応が楽しみでございます！（2号）. Translation: A tech demo booth is set up with the game, but it’s still in Japanese(?). They’re excited to see the surprised reactions from fans touring the expo.
EDIT 2: Hatsune Miku’s facebook has posted several images of the demo booth. Do I need to even mention how jealous I am of the people who got to play this? There was two songs available: World’s End Dance Hall and Cat Food
PLEASE READ FYI:
New Hatsune Miku concert will be held in Taiwan & Hong Kong
In what makes the next logical step for for the MikuPa live concerts, the third overseas performance has been announced! In celebration of Miku’s 5th anniversary, there will be 2 performances at each location. One for the daytime, and one for the evening. Hong Kong’s concerts will premier on October 2nd at 15:00 and 20:00, and the Taiwan concerts will premier on October 6th at 14:00 and 19:00 (all times are local).
The ticket pricing varies by seating, and each concert divides the seating into three sections. The closer you are, the more it costs. The listed ticket prices are as follows.
Section A (standing): 640 HKD ($87.64 USD)
Section A (standing): 480 HKD ($61.87 USD)
Section A (Balcony): 280 HKD ($36.09 USD)
Section A (standing): 2900 TWD ($96.85 USD)
Section A (standing): 2200 TWD ($73.47 USD)
Section A (Balcony): 1500 TWD ($50.11 USD)
There is no word on any sort of live streaming for either of the concerts, likely due to the concern of piracy. There’s no doubt this will generate a lot of excitement and demand from fans around the world for performances in their own country, but I’ve been noticing a pattern. Every concert performance so far seems to be happening in terms of regional popularity. The United States came first since it has the second largest concentration of Vocaloid fans outside of Japan. Singapore came second. And now Taiwan/China is third. You can pretty much guess where things will be going from here, so keep an eye out for future announcements!

Crypton Staff Confirms All Crypton Vocaloids Being Updated to Vocaloid3
There’s already been news for quite some time for several of Crypton’s Vocaloid characters. Kaito’s append V3 development, Megurine Luka V3, Hatsune Miku V3, etc. But a tweet from Crypton officials states that the entire Crypton Vocaloid lineup will be updated to the V3 generation. This even includes Meiko and the Kagamine twins. A question from a user in the tweet also asked if the twins would be getting English voice banks, but it is unclear if this question was also answered in the response. Here’s a link to the original tweet: [Link].
At Least Three Voice Styles Confirmed for V3 Miku
The development for V3 Miku seems to be near its end, and details are starting to leak out from Crypton staff. One tweet reads: “初音ミクのオリジナルに加えて、Dark＆Soft等のV3調整を新しく入ったエンジニアと共に進めてます。“. According to the tweet, the V3 release of Miku’s software will have her “classic” voice style, as well as Dark and Soft from her append set. It is unknown if this means if any other voice styles will be dropped from the V3 update, or if they’re just not yet announced. It is also unclear if these will be sold together, or separately like GUMI’s V3 package. As for the release date, there’s still unclear info and speculation. Many people in the community are guessing that Crypton may plan the release for sometime around her 5th anniversary. Link to tweet: [Link]
Leaked Image of Project Diva F Cover Reveals Additional Game Details
The snapshot above of the game’s backside cover reveals and confirms some interesting game features. They are listed as follows:
- A two player Ad-Hoc gameplay mode (first ever two player mode for a PjD game).
- Touch communication/interaction with the ingame idols.
- The ability to not only create, but also share your own custom PVs with friends.
- Enjoy “live” life sized virtual performances through the game’s AR functions.
To recap on previous news, the game is set to launch on August 30th, just a day before Hatsune Miku’s 5th anniversary. Thank you to Vocaloid Otaku for the catch up on recent events.

What's Hatsune Miku?
"HATSUNE MIKU" is a computer music software that enables users to create synthesized singing of unprecedented quality and remarkable realism by just typing in lyrics and melody. Powered by YAMAHA's VOCALOID(= Vocal + Android) technology, HATSUNE MIKU was developed by Crypton Future Media in Sapporo, and released on August 31st, 2007. And since then, there have been more than 30,000 songs and movies about HATSUNE MIKU were posted in a popular Video sharing web site such as YouTube and Nico-Nico-Douga(Japan).
From this "music software" with cute voice and an illustration of cartoon girl on the cover, not only lots of CGM(Consumer Generated Media) music were created, but remarkable numbers of derivative illustrations and dedicated free software (including an amazing application tool to create 3D animation of HATSUNE MIKU, etc.) were also created. Then, as the recognition and popularity of HATSUNE MIKU grew, more other related activities such as launching news site and SNS site featuring MIKU or organizing events for MIKU fans are taking place. HATSUNE MIKU is not merely a music software anymore.
