Life in SAE provides many opportunities rarely found elsewhere: true friendship, huge network potential, scholastic assistance, philanthropic endeavors, leadership opportunities, and a wide array of social events. SAE is more than a place to live and socialize for the next years of your college life, it is a lasting commitment to an international organization that stands for equality, honor, resp...ect and good will. The brothers share common oaths of striving to embody a True Gentleman, and together have fostered life long memories of their college years. Our chapter is exremely involved in all aspects of college life, ranging from IFC Sports to Spring Sing, Homecoming and more. It is Sigma Alpha Epsilon's diversity and dedication to brotherhood, academics, intramural athletics, community service and social events that give our members a rewarding college experience that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
Mission: The mission of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, and service for our members based upon the ideals set forth by our Founders and as specifically enunciated in our creed, “The True Gentleman.” "The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others, rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe." - John Walter Wayland

A statement from the Interfraternity Council to the UCLA community concerning racist and misogynistic comments in the 2013 minutes of Pi Kappa Phi:
"These hateful words go completely against what it means to a fraternity man in our Bruin community. While this incident happened three years ago, we will get to the bottom of it because racism and misogyny will not be tolerated. A major priority of the current Interfraternity Council is to strengthen our fraternities by fostering greater diversity, respect and inclusion."
It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of Lexi Brown. She was an inspiration to us all at SAE and she will always have a special place in our hearts and memories. Even though we met through unfortunate circumstances she always had a positive attitude and allowed us to come over and bug her whenever we could. Lexi you are a blessing to us and we will definitely keep fighting like a girl!
We had a great time cheering for Special Olympics at UCLA last night! Can't wait for next quarter's Unified IM league to start #round2 #spreadthewordtoendtheword
This is Lexi, a 12-year-old girl currently battling heart disease and cancer at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Some of our brothers saw her sign asking for pizza and decided to bring her flowers and sing her a song as well. The little things go a long way, and we're so proud of every brother in this picture. Phi Alpha!

In regards to the discovery of the video from Oklahoma University, please see the statement released by our National Leadership www.sae.net/oklahoma
The brothers of California Delta at UCLA stand with the vast majority of the 15,000+ active members and denounce the insensitive and racist comments made by these individuals. Our chapter at UCLA has a long history of inclusive leadership, initiating members regardless of their race, religion, and sexual orientation. Judge us by our deeds as we standup against discrimination and truly embody the ideals of the True Gentleman.
